Great! I like the neutral site games.

BYU will have more fans in Houston than Wisconsin did. UW only sold 9K tickets and probably had 12K fans there. BYU will have at least 20K there. Mormons come out of the woodwork for events like that.

Also true. However, that seems to be another one of those things that is ingrained in tradition.

UT also played UCLA @ neutral site. Imagine if LSU had TWO neutral site games like UT. Holy shite the meltdown.

1. You do know that season tickets are based on the number of games right? It isn't like fans are paying for games that aren't on the schedule.

2. Who the frick in the stadium is paying $3,000 for a ticket?

It's amazing how stupid the people on here get and how much shite they will make up when they complain about things.

I get that this game in particular is not impacting the # of games at TS this year, but I think those that spend (ok, what is it $2700 per ticket?) should expect LSU to try and get a home and home with teams like Wisconsin if possible. There have been years where the neutral game cause LSU to only have 6 home games instead of 7.

tDecline is real if we're scheduling neutral site games with non Power 5 teams.

Um, you're still like $1,000 off.

Obviously, the game is in 2017. What I am saying is that the fans won't pay for this game in 2017. The cost of season tickets is dictated by the number of home games that particular year. It isn't a flat rate.

There has been exactly one such year. We owed West Virginia a trip as part of our home and home with them and that is the only reason why we had 6 games at home that year.

Once (2011), and the very next year they had an EXTRA (8th) game at home to make up for it.

All seats require it...what the hell is your point? I guess you didn't bother looking at what the donations actually cost before sticking your nose in and trying to argue did you?

You sure about that? Tickets on the sideline go for about $2700 each from what I recall.

I know there isn't a flat fee, but if I pay big money for a bunch of years, only to find that the name brand games are being outsourced for TV, why do I keep shelling out every year if I just get a couple good SEC games a year? Get some of these games at home. No reason to play a team like BYU in a neutral site game. If it were USC or Texas, I could understand.

I know these matchups aren't available as Home & Home, but I can see where season ticket holders will start getting frustrated.

We play Miami in 2018 in Dallas. Why not have tried to get them for a H&H?

I think everyone that matters knows that BYU is as good as 50% of the Power 5 teams...

Looks like the BYU fans have something to say about this matchup as well

The most expensive ticket in Tiger Stadium (Excluding Stadium Club and Suites) in 2014 was $1,450, unless I can't read a map and do simple math.

You know the answer to this. Obviously the school makes some money off of playing the neutral site games. They are usually in prime time and Texas is a very fertile recruiting ground that gives us a good chance to make a good impression. They aren't scheduling these games just to piss fans off, despite what some of the fans think.

That's all any school in the country gets for the most part these days. A few good conference games.

I certainly don't think that, and if we have 7 home games a year, they are honoring what they AD promised about 10 years ago. I just prefer home & home series because of the fun I've had going to other stadiums.
