I believe Athletics donates a percentage of the gross income to academics, something like 5% which equates to about 7.5M in previous years.
Athletics gives so much to academics and definitely increased the amount and what they pay for during the last budget cuts. I would like to see athletics keep some of the money to improve facilities and up the recruiting budget.

Why should LSU sports have to fund the shortcomings of Louisiana politicians?
It is hard to keep up with the Joneses when you are giving away 75 million every 10 years.
