All I have really done here, compared to my previous posts, is to update jersey numbers. I have no insider information; I have merely read and listened to the same stuff you have.
Notes:
• I moved Jay Ward back to FS.
• I went with a 4-2-5 Nickel formation on Defense because it seemed more convenient, given the ambiguity of positions such as "Defensive Lineman," "Linebacker," and "Defensive Back" on LSU's updated roster, as well as the fact that they did not recruit a true Nose Tackle (Guillory is basically the only one we have).
• I removed Garrett Dellinger from the Center competition due to his injury. I replaced him with Spencer Payne, a walk-on, because he was specifically mentioned by Brad Davis as being in the 6-man Center competition.

I’m guessing you are just putting the guys who have been here as the top name at each position?

Because at least 75% of our transfers will start

Great job!

Maybe I missed it, but didn't we have another long snapper on the roster before the incoming transfer?

Yes. I've spent time trying to explain this in previous Depth Chart posts, but I didn't feel like doing a copy/paste every time.
I began with last year's official Depth Charts.
Incoming transfers are placed below them because I didn't want to be presumptuous.
Incoming freshmen are placed at the bottom.

Quentin Skinner is no longer listed on the roster, nor is he in the transfer portal.
On the TigerBait podcast it was speculated that, since he was ineligible for the bowl game, he remains academically ineligible and could return to the team in the future.

This is awesome. Thank you.

Eta.
We need Deion Smith back, pretty bad.

Xavier hill is where he should be….Guard even though he was considered a T out of HS. I think he’s going to be gooood

I heard one of the podcast or talk show hosts state that he believed Marlon Martinez to be the front runner, but he was very intrigued by Dellinger and Kimo. Though, admittedly, this doesn't really amount to much.

Charles Turner to blocking TE!

(no sauces, just a move I posted they should make a while back, and one that wouldn't surprise me)

Strong Safety is probably the weakest spot on the team. I'm really worried about that position especially in terms of reliable tackling.

??? Receiving group of Boutte, Jenkins, Bech, Nabers, Thomas, Hilton, Lacy is one of the strongest groups on the team. Nabers or Thomas seem like prime candidates to break out second year to become an elite outside guy. Intrigued to see what Hilton/Lacy are

Foucha will probably end up being the box safety with Ward playing over the top at FS. Foucha is a very good tackler, physical. I have high hopes for him this year, Brooks as well

I would like to think that DL is going to bring disruption, physical play, and quickness off the edges to every game. Constituently getting in the QB's face is going to make the secondary even better.

Thank you. The incoming transfer makes more sense now.

This makes me feel a little better. Harris and Burns don't give me a lot of confidence and Langois is unproven. IDK if Harris can be taught to tackle at this point in his 9 year career at LSU but hopefully Burns and Langois step it up.

GD was going to be the starting Center. (The next Pocic).

Absolutely did not need this to go down.

He was injured during the season, but when did he have surgery and why wasn't it announced?

I think we're set at RB, WR, DL, and LB.

could use 1-2 more upperclassmen OL transfers

could use one more tackling safety

really need 1-2 more CBs in my opinion. i only feel good about converse, garner, and welch will be a solid freshman. i'm not high on mcgee or ray jones

QB's wide open. may the best man win. i've seen what myles can do, and daniels could mesh out into a dual threat problem for defenses. we will have to see

overall, i like the experience we've acquired in the portal and returning players.

My take-away from this chart is what a fabulous job this new staff did with the transfer portal. To have that many holes and plug most of them like they did is an exceptional job by Polian and Kelly
