yes i agree... pitch selection improvement would even push Sanchez over 300. Sometimes she looks confused out there, but just a little work is all she needs, she already has good mechanics at the plate.

Finally, I don't want to be viewed as sexist and indelicate, but all three of our pitchers need a good offseason conditioning program.

Allie has lost probably 25 lbs since being here. Carley had a gruesome offseason training and lost weight and got in shape. She is ALL muscle. She is not a problem. Yes Allie and Sydney need to get in a little better shape, but Alie is on her way. Carley is there already.

I noticed Carly lost weight... Allie is losing weight.. Sydney is a big boned girl.. she looks like she has lost weight, as well.

Wonder if Paige Parker's weight bothers the OU fans? Thats a big kid.

fwiw Sanchez I think with some tweaking can be a 330 hitter with a lot of line drive power.

As much as people might laugh I actually agree with this. I've watched Sanchez for years, and she has always had that pop in her bat. She was recruited by Auburn, Georgia, FSU, A&M. She hit extremely well coming out HS and has done it on a national stage as well. What she barrels it up, it will be at the fence every time. She had a lot of nice at bats this season where she would drill balls fouls but then eventually just pop up but she definitely has the potential to do damage offensively. Even last year she hit the ball damn hard. I remember her stepping in at A&M and blasting on to the top of the fence

I definitely think the chemo treatments did have its affects with her. I like Sanchez but if she were to ever play anywhere defensively it needs to be at 2B, 3B isn't a natural place for her.

We haven't been as talented as the teams that have won it all.

Watching last nights game made me think about LSU's baseball teams back in the early 80's when we had enough talent to get there...but not enough to win it.

I don't follow LSU softball enough to know where we rank (consistently) in recruiting, Are we typically in the 10-20 range or inside top 10? Have we had any top 5 classes?

If y'all look at AJ Andrews insta, there's a funny video of Hoover vs the baseball players in the batting cage

This past cycle we were ranked # 2 but we typically are between 5-15.

The 2018,2019,2020 are all in the top 8

Something to think about. .... if ULL had Carly and Allee this year, theyd have been at the WCWS and they would beat Oregon

This. Griggs has the worst swing I've seen for a leadoff hitter on a D1 team. All arms.

She might be all arms but at least the bat is flat thru the zone. She went 12
For 12 but then she went back to slapping

Except when they face great pitching consistently.

Those are Sunbelt numbers.

Hasnt he only been to the WCWS twice?

I know Sanchez was a bit disappointing this season but practically everyone besides Jaquish and Landry were.

What is your standard? This team made 3 games into the WCWS so the only achievement left was winning the whole thing. I can see some room for player development and/or improvement but to say everyone except 2 players was a disappointment is ridiculous.

I'm not saying the team was a disappointment but offensive production and play at the plate had been extremely underwhelming all season. They did a nice job trying to be more aggressive at the start of SECT and it paid off. It just caught up with us eventually at the World Series?

You completely missed the point. I've said how proud I am of this team multiple times I don't think you kept up with the thread.

That is exactly what I have been saying and with Beth's love affair with Sanchez say good bye to Dawson who is one of our best hitters that will never see the time of day from this staff. Dawson is the biggest waste of talent I have seen come through this program in a long time. Complete misuse of her this season. Beth was on a mission with a preconceived judgment to prove the local kid couldn't help us. Sad, sad story as bad as we were on the infield this season.

Bailey Hemphill and Dawson are still the two best travel ball, pre-college hitters I have ever seen and neither will ever be a starter at LSU.

and if you scroll back and read where i said who is he coaching? does he have torina talent? you saying it would not work with torina talent? yet it works with lesser talent? really?
you think dobson is better?

3 times.
only? with lesser talent all around. show me where LSU has went to postseason more than the cajuns. it goes both ways. look how many consecutive years the cajuns have made post season.

it works that is all that really matters. you think he never plays anybody worth a damn OOC or in regionals or supers or WCWS??

here take a look at his record
