LSU remains the standard if Bama wins it

2006 florida
2008 florida
2009 bama
2010 auburn
2011 bama
2012 bama
if you can beat LSU, you are good enough to win a MNC.
2013 Auburn wasn't good enough to win the MNC because they were not good enough to beat LSU.
tl;dr LSU will be the most important game on any SEC teams 2015 schedule if Bama wins it this year, because everyone will know they cannot win the MNC without beating LSU as evidenced by the last decade of facts.

2010 auburn
2011 bama
2012 bama

My friend and I were discussing LSU and what it needs to win the SEC. It seems the general consensus is that LSU needs to have a good/great year AND for Tennessee and/or Georgia to have good/great years in order for the Tigers to make Atlanta. ///

When I posted this in 2012 people were dissing the idea, and it was factual to a fault then. So I have no problem with you dissing the idea now that it is factual not to a fault.

Saying if you aren't good enough to beat LSU you aren't good enough to win a MNC doesn't really say all that much about LSU. I mean I don't think anyone has won a championship after losing to Jacksonville St, either.

False. Auburn 2013 beat Arky and lost in the MNC.

Mythical national Championship. Since Big 12 teams could have 3 bye weeks to the SEC's 2 bye weeks this year, you cannot accurately judge which teams were the best.
Until there is standard uniformity in bye weeks and number of games played all national champions will be mythical.

I actually have some 'Bama friends who pointed this out after the game in November. Said they knew they could go the distance because of the comeback win in BR. Seems a bit of a stretch since the great teams usually beat everyone else also. But it's a fun fact I guess.
