True, but it sure makes it look like you think it's ok to go about bashing someone because they call you a name, with no consequence.

Looks like both sides are at fault, but one may have committed a criminal act.

No numbnuts, being knocked unconscious is the difference between a misdemeanor and a felony.

Uh, NO numbnuts, any injury present or future can make it a felony. Broken jaw/nose, teeth, eye damage, stiches, etc

Look, there are a ton of factors. But why in the world would a sane person argue that Hill wasn't out of line. And that the situation is more sensitive because of his probation.

Right or wrong, his previous felony was pleaded down to a misdemeanor of sorts AND the terms of the probation.....Hill is wrong and has to DO WAY MORE than the normal person to make sure he isn't in a situation where his probation comes into question. It is the guidelines of the last deal he received!

Hopefully, Hill is a Tiger and wins the Heisman!

Knocked Out
quote:

The victim, Connor Baldridge, told Baton Rouge Police officer Clifford Crouch he was struck in the head two or three times and remembers waking up on the ground after Crouch arrived on the scene at approximately 2:13 a.m., according to the report.

You know Hill is not the one who delivered the punch that knocked him to the ground right?

FIFY maybe now you can understand how your words fit perfectly both ways.

No one is disputing if the guy was a drunk prick. Just please stop arguing that J Hill was legally justified to punch him. If so HE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ARRESTED!

Thanks but now we have a doctor/witness/legal expert who can without a doubt tell you which punch a) knocked him unconscious
B) who threw what/when

This, of course, after you proved there was a level of unconscious reached.

It won't end bro, just let em keep giving the handjob to Hill.

It does matter when you are determining the legal implications of his actions.

It's called a police report and a video. You are quite possibly the most ridiculous poster on this site.

quote:

An officer was shown a video of the incident, “which clearly shows the defendant (Hill) striking the victim,” the affidavit says.

A second person then hit the victim with his fist, which rendered the victim unconscious, Baton Rouge Police Department spokesman Cpl. L’Jean McKneely said.

Indeed they do. And if you are dumb enough to bait someone bigger and stronger than you are, you should be willing to accept those consequences..There was a time before metrosexual America, that if one sounded off in a bar and got his butt smacked, one would accept that as a lesson to either: 1. learn to control one's alcohol intake, 2. learn to be a better fighter, or 3.just STFU.

Now there is all this angst and hand wringing about a lesson that should have been learned long ago.

I was just jumping in to show the unconscious part. You would probably have to analyze the video really closely to see which blow actually knocked him out, but I would consider both of them responsible since they were both involved in the attack.

I kinda wish he would apologize, get a short sentence and community service, then play when he is finished with those, but I understand why he is lawyering up with the probation thing. It would take a ton to get me in a fight if I had a suspended sentence hanging around my neck. The dude could be right in my face and even at that point if the bar wouldn't do anything about it I would walk out of that place and not come back. Its kinda in their best interests to keep star players around.

It's actually pretty clear.

Connor Baldridge is a POS and needs to stay the f out of Louisiana. The scumbag is from Colorado and is no true Tiger...

Wut?

The guy teased Hill because of his carnal knowledge of a juvenile count. If Hill can't handle being teased about getting blowjobs from 14 year olds, maybe he shouldn't get blowjobs from 14 year olds.

BTW, none of this would have happened if not for the second suspect. After Hill flipped, the victim was walking away to the gas station when he got decked by the second dude.

Without the knockout punch, we never even hear about this

I am just speculating here, but I somehow doubt that you have ever gotten a BJ form any girl regardless of her age.

Not excuse Hill, but he was pretty young at the time.
Just because I am the curious type, what possible outcome could the teaser have had in mind when he started to taunt Hill.

Finally

So how does he undo something that happened in the past?

Probably never happened as simple as that. In the old days, like "now", you could get in a fight but you risked getting hauled off to jail for the night. Do it a few times and you stay a little longer and probably do more community service. The problem is that Hill had something a little more serious than bar brawls on his record.
