Interesting concept, they rank current players the way they would recruits. LINK

LSU players

#24 (5 star) Leonard Fournette
#27 (5 star) Vadal Alexander
#30 (5 star) Jamal Adams
#69 (4 star) Tre'Davious White
#80 (4 star) Kendell Beckwith
#158 (4 star) Jalen Mills
#214 (4 star) Travin Dural
#228 (4 star) Jerald Hawkins

Lots of respect for LSU players.

They are right as well, we have all the talent in the world. When it all comes together we will be scary.

I think White is 5 star and Beckwith will improve his pass coverage this year and be worthy of 5 star too

Godchaux just missed and Dupre should be there based on talent alone.

What sucks is we do not have a single DL who makes their list despite having several DL who were highly ranked as prospects. Either their rankings of prospects were bad, or our development of DL has been deficient. I hope it has been the latter, and that the coaching changes will improve the development of our DL.

247 are a lot of players. Not a round number

LaCouture and Godchaux not on there at all is kinda funny, but hey it is just someone's opinion of just 247 players that includes 2 Kickers and a punter.

Unrelated to LSU, but I don't think that Jeremy Johnson (AUB) should be ranked ahead of Dak Prescott (MSU). Prescott has proven himself while Johnson has played mostly mop-up duty (even though he was fantastic during those times).

Do you really put stock in this list? Seriously? LOL

LSU is going to have a very good DL...especially the DT position. If you can't see the talent there then I can't help you.

What about 3 OSU quarterbacks in the top 100?

NO, I don't think the list is the be all end all of analysis. However, it is a reasonable assessment of the effectiveness of returning players, not potential of the players. Quite simply, LSU does not have any returning DL who deserve consideration for the top 100, and you would have a very hard time arguing that any deserve top 200 consideration based on prior performance compared to other returning players.

The potential is there at LSU, and I expect improved play over last season.

hard to argue against the bama punter. he was their 2nd best player last season.. easily

I would have Mills a little higher, but other than that, I agree.

All we need is Harris to be slightly above average. If he's any better than that, this team will contend for the west, the SEC and the playoff.

Let's geauuuux

Beckwith is a little underrated on that list IMO.

If you consider that this list is basically 3 draft classes combined into one list, you see that the Tigers have potentially 3 Top 10 picks, 2 other first rounders, 1 second rounder, and 2 third rounders. That is a very talented group.
