Tigers are going to beat A&M then lose the next game to get a 10 seed. Come the NCAA T the Tigers are gonna turn up the heat and make the elite 8 bf getting knocked off watch.

I really thought LSU needed 12 SEC wins to be assured of a spot...regular season and SEC tourney. If the Tigers are one and done, I'll be sweating it out Sunday.

I like our tourney chances but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to lay a huge egg in round 1.

They have to go 2 rounds in the SEC to get in. Too many losses to bad teams like Tenny. They have to show something this week or we'll be a +20 win team in the NIT.

I want them there, but a poor showing will not get us any points.

That's what I'm talkin' about ... thank you Jim Rockford. I was beginning to lose faith in the Rant. Almost 3 full pages before an "ESPN hates LSU" post.

So what makes Ole Miss a selection over LSU? LSU has a better RPI, better overall record, same conference record but is the 4 seed compared to a 6 seed due to a season sweep of the Rebels. Only advantage Ole Miss has is SOS.

Nobody close to the bubble has a resume even close to ours. Road wins against WVU and Arky are huge. Plus going 3-0 against Ole Miss and UGA.

We play like dogshit at home and world beaters on the road. Glad the PMAC is behind us for the rest of the season.

Road wins are huge and aside from the big boys, nobody has a better resume in that regard.

It's already been said that this matters almost none. It may be the 5th thing they look at when comparing 2 teams. Who you beat is FAR more important than who you lost to.

And not 1 other team between 45-55 has even 10 wins against the RPI top 100. LSU has 12.

Since 2011? 94%

since 2011 2 teams have gotten at large with rpi of 60

The other 5% comes from 51-59 rpi

All these tiny arse conference tournaments frick everything up, every year. I know some people LOVE the mid-majors in the tournament, but it's not good for LSU, which is a team that's perennially on the bubble.

I'll go ahead and get it out of the way. UL-L will knock LSU out after they win the Sun Belt.

I think the Arkansas road win is bigger than most people are thinking considering it was WITHOUT one of the team's main stars. I think the committee will look very favorably on that fact.

Hypothetically, what do you think our seed would be if we beat A&M and UK and lose in the final? What would our seed be if we win the SEC tournament?

I have heard this multiple times over the past few weeks. The committee wants teams who have shown that they can beat teams in the top 50.
