Was that one of the most emasculating moments in college sports?

That was straight up taking a guy's girl at the beach and kicking sand in his face.

In terms of LSU, I rate it just below Tyrann Mathieu's game against Arkansas. He basically one manned them to death.

I really think Les learned from that. If you saw the way he handled the 4th qtr of MSU this year. Just rotate new guys in and keeping running the ball. If you score oh well.

Of course Les never intended it to look that way, but with that much time left, it was awkward. Wouldn't mind another one this weekend. Go to hell ole piss, go to hell.

I think it was more humiliating than scoring more TDs. Yeah, my preference is to play backups and run the regular offense.

I watched a replay of the mercy kneel a few days ago and just noticed how pissed one of the commentators got. It was classic.

at the time i thought it was, but since then i've heard it was punishment for zach calling his own naked bootleg in the huddle that almost scored.

either way, i liked it.

edit: remember in karate kid 2 when he honks the guy's nose? it was like that.

"live or die man?!"

That's exactly what it was.

Les told the officials that he didn't want it reviewed, and to leave the play as it was called on the field.

For Mett, or ole miss?
If I had been Mett, I'd have been a little pissed off.

I wasn't a fan of the kneel just because its more embarrassing as a player when a team has mercy on you than when they run up the score, but it did knock a ton of time off the clock in which someone could have gotten hurt.

I have never been more embarrassed for a team than in the 1st quarter of that game.

I actually think that Ole Miss would have preferred the play be reviewed and Mett's touchdown been recorded (I'm almost certain it was a touchdown).

Then, they would have finished the game with the ball in their hands. That finish was terrible, although I understand what Les was trying to do - he was trying to be nice - Nutt even acknowledged that.

yeah i totally agree, but i understand that it was viewed differently if you didn't know the whole story.

bc it was viewed as ole miss being the ultimate football cuckold.

If you are owning someone and are scoring at will I don't see how taking a knee is more embarrassing than putting up 100.

The team is basically saying we are done owning you, lets call it a night.
