I get that LSU sometimes has close games against not great teams, but LSU has numerous large margin of victories over teams around 2015 SC level. Off the top of my head, Auburn this year and Kentucky last year.
For those thinking that USC will somehow have some kind of magical emotional boost, remember that in LSU's 2 "Hurricane Games", after Katrina an 11-1 LSU team needed 2 blocked kick TDs and a last minute 4th down TD to beat a 6-5 Arizona State team, then after Rita that 11-1 LSU team lost to a 5-6 Tennessee team.
Also, after our pre-game emotional showing of support to Virginia Tech in 2007 after the shooting, LSU beat that 11-1 Vtech team by 41.

Much worse. USCe has looked the worst of any SEC team, including Vandy. It would be a profound disappointment if LSU doesn't cover.

I agree. Emotions may be running high for USCe but with the disparity in team quality, that buys an uncomfortable quarter for LSU fans at most, in my opinion. after that, it probably gets ugly until Les takes the foot of the gas. You cant go into victory formation in the 3rd quarter, after all.

Id be more worried about emotion if usce was good. Pharoh Cooper is good but they dont have a qb and our top 2 corners are elite.

How will LSU be sluggish? It's a 2:30 game a week after they just played like crap against EMU.
This sounds like the same crap people were saying about Auburn. I know they are going through some stuff right now, but emotional ties are so hit and miss. Sometimes one team is the hammer. and the other is the nail no matter what happens.
LSU has everything to play for, including a conference win.
