Houston would make more sense than Bossier

The sites don't matter. Those two were mentioned because LSU would have more political sway in making it happen. They just need to be closer to Baton Rouge.

The Cajundome should host so Bob Marlin could enjoy watching Will Wade win post season games in his gym.

It would be hosted by Louisiana Tech. Or conferences can host tournament sites now.

Bossier has no chance and when New Orleans hosts the first two rounds nobody goes.
Then to get/keep the revenue in state, give Bossier City one shot.
I think it can work at least once just on the novelty.

LSU has never played a 1st/2nd Round game in New Orleans. Which is the point. Now that LSU consistently makes the tournament and is getting good enough to be a good seed year in year out they would be sent to New Orleans.

They're not necessarily going to put us there. Nobody else gets the Greenville/Raleigh/Charlotte treatment consistently like UNC and Duke.

No, but you clearly wouldn’t have gotten in anyway.

Would we be required to call a TO with a big lead with under 2 minutes left?

I am in favor of either Bossier City or NO as NCAA sites even if LSU does NOT get assigned there.

Side note: Can Brookshire's Arena hold 12K+ fans? I was just there for LSU-Tech and, even with the upper areas' curtains drawn back, I cannot believe you could get 12K in there for MBB.

Eh, NCAA throws 1’s and 2’s a bone when it can.

2018 Tourney:
1-UVa and 2-UNC were in Charlotte
1-Villanova was in Pitt and had a Regional in Boston
2- Purdue opened in Detroit
1- Kansas opened in Wichita and was in the Omaha Regional

It’s not just UNC and Duke that get it. I’m convinced the NCAA hates LSU and would screw them anyway even if stars aligned.

No. But Bossier is the fastest growing parish in La. Look it up.

Site selection has as much to do with the amount of available hotel rooms in the area as the size of the arena.

NCAA won’t give a state a 1st round spot every year. Usually rotates every 4 or so. But I like the idea.

Barksdale is not a civilian airport. Shreveport is served mostly by puddle jumpers from DFW and Houston.

I like Lester. He says some goofy stuff but I’ve always thought he has good opinions but he always reaches for something to shock people. That’s why he says the crazy stuff.

Every now and then he can get kind of pissy, but we all have our moods.
