NCAA BBall will pretty much always screw LSU come tourney time. 86 was probably the last break and they never saw that run coming.
Shaq's last team got sent to Boise didnt they? The best player in the nation sent basically to Siberia.
Years of LSU getting knocked out of the tourney by the eventual national champ.
Even if Bossier could get a round LSU would get shipped out somewhere

The smarter move is NOLA and the gulf coast. It’s much more of a destination than bossier and there are places that can handle the seating capacity. Get the casinos involved and you may find yourself playing in a brand new facility.

Bossier does not have the infrastructure.

Site selection has as much to do with the amount of available hotel rooms in the area as the size of the arena.
Arena has to be able to hold 10k and they also take number of daily arrivals/departures from nearest airport into consideration.

New Orleans hosts 1st/2nd round games occasionally, but you are right it's not near enough.

As much as I love the idea, I don't think there's any way that Bossier would get a shot at anything like that. Do you ever hear of all the bitching and complaining/jokes about the area by teams that play in the Independence Bowl? I've heard broadcasters complaining on national radio that they had to go to Shreveport to call the Indy game. As a north LA guy, I think it would be great but I don't see it happening. I honestly can't believe that New Orleans is hosting the Final Four. I think it's only a matter of time before all the big events are pulled from that dumpster fire of a city.

Bossier doesn't have the overwhelming trash NOLA has. New Orleans is a national embarrassment.

I don't love Bossier. I do think it would be great if Bossier could get a national event like that but the Bossier/Shreveport area is garbage and so is NOLA. In fact, the vast majority of the state is a crime ridden shitty gar hole to be honest. I'm from Monroe and per capita, it's now been ranked as one of the most dangerous cities in the country. That's why I moved to Texas. Louisiana has become a shite hole. If you can't see that, you're the retard.
