TJ has stated that in a perfect scenario both guys would have been redshirted but our situation didn't allow for that.

That's another issue for me. We weren't Duke or Kansas coming into this year.

I don't think we were in a position to recruit kids that need redshirting. We needed kids who could contribute right away.

But hey, that's water under the bridge. I'll trust Trent is building a foundation and the sacraficing years in past and incremental improvement and accountability are in the future.

Well, exactly, we aren't Duke or UNC. We don't go out and get parade all-americans every year that can come in and be instant John Wall type players. Those players are few and far between and unless he's in our proximity, we can't build our program on that expectation. In the long run, guys like Dotson and Ludwig, along with the new guys coming in, will make our program very good and very competitive. We have to lay the foundation before we can expect results.

I realize we're not Duke or Kansas, but neither are we ULL. You don't think we could've gotten anyone better last year?

Both guys had really good offer sheets. I think basketball recruiting is a totally different animal than football recruiting and I feel as though fans expect it to be similar with similar results. Kids leave states all the time. It's a longer, shadier process.

So I am happy with what we got from last year. It's not like the state was churning out much last year. Both guys looked young and inexperienced this year, but neither looked like they couldn't compete at a high level once they grew up a little.

Well, like I said TA what's done is done. I hope they can contribute in the future and I like some of the players we have coming in complimented by White.

I like Trent's integrity and I hope this year's class is the foundation to build a consistently successful program and we don't have to ever suffer through a year as painful as this one.
