What many fans don't realize it that visiting teams can really get pumped playing in front of 11,000 people at Alex Box Stadium. Instead of being intimidated, those teams sometimes wind up playing their best ball of the season.

Losing at home in a super regional is never good.
Mainieri and LSU have been eliminated at home in 3 of the last 5 seasons.

Not really keeping up with the whole CWS but have caught some of the CCU games. Andrew Beckwith for CCU has pitched 2 complete games at Omaha now in beating #1 Fla and #5 TCU (who eliminated aTm)...
I think they are a good team too. They are now 3-1 and one game from the championship series.

I'm having fun pulling for the Chickens. They are a legit team. And they seem to be having fun out there.

Stony brook had 5 players drafted in the top 10 rounds
really a total of 8 as they have 2 incoming frosh signees that were drafted also. But there total of 6 this year was the biggest for them since 2010 when they had 7 drafted. Coastal Carolina is no fluke, seems to be a good baseball school.

CCU is a good team. I've enjoyed watching them. I hope they go all the way. I might not be watching the CWS if it wasn't for them hanging in there.

No but fictional Kenny powers played for the fictional Myrtle Beach Mermen. In real life they are the Myrtle Beach Pelicans.
