Just a heads up: a lot of hotel chains set rates 1 year in advance, so some rooms are opening up in Green Bay for the Wisconsin game.

Quality Inn downtown released some today and I believe Hilton Garden Inn and Days Inn and Suites (all in Green Bay) should have some available today or within the next week or two.

Some places are actually waiting until the Packers schedule comes out in April, so you might still have a chance then as well.

Hey, I was just curious - Did LSU Alumni Association book a bunch of hotels before Wisconsin Alumni Group did and locked in a bunch for their trip?

This thread inspired me to call a hotel. Called the Hampton Inn Green Bay Stadium, and they said they typically will not accept a reservation more than 50 weeks in advance. Meaning, I will be calling them back in two weeks.

They also said the rates are going to be treated as a Packers weekend rate, so the rooms are $499/night.

Most places are a week or 2 out from opening the dates. Thanks for making people flood the gates.

I booked last month at Extended Stay Airport. Had very few rooms remaining at that time.

Not surprising this with be the most difficult/pricey away trip ever for a lsu game.

Don't underestimate the demand this will draw from wisco fans. This is the first time ever they will be playing a lambeau. This game will be the bigger than life up there

Agreed. I hope the original poster misses out on a room close to the stadium.

What's it going to be like trying to get tickets for the game? I have some connections that may be able to come through for me but I am planning for the worst.

I think you'll see people asking $300 on the low end.

I've stayed at the Quality Inn downtown. They were very accomodating and even gave me printed directions to Lambeau.
Green Bay and the surrounding area such as Doer County has very nice scenery. A good place to visit that time of year.
