Coach O with his group of studs he is recruiting right now will be downright scary for opposing QB's in the future

I noticed that A&M is first. If Chavis' A&M defense is so good at sacking the QB, why wasn't his LSU D able to pressure the QB? Our DL looks much better, quicker and more disruptive than last year's DL (which are mostly the same guys).

I hoped some were watching us Saturday when they were talking about how Key committed the day he heard O was our coach...that it a great rep to have as a recruiter

From what I've seen so far, chavis is sending way more pressure. Not conservative by any means.

They had a little better rotation this past weekend, seemed like they didnt slow down like they did in the Miss St game.

Yes, but A&M number 1 is kind of funny.

They got after ASU pretty good because they had no rushing threat whatsoever. Their other two games were Ball St. & Nevada.

Pretty sure that Myles was leading in sacks before Chavis ever showed up

Ball St. and Nevada vs Miss. State and Auburn.

Chavis can probably be more aggressive or boom/bust on defense since if he screws up the offense can bail him out against weaker teams.

Ed Orgeron unleashed FRANK HERRON on Auburn and he sacked the QB and RB.

It's not that good. TAMU has 15 sacks this year, all against OOC opponents. Last year they had 16 sacks their first 4 games with 13 coming from the 3 OOC opponents. They had 23 sacks in 5 non conference games last year (20 in scheduled OOC games), and only 12 in conference play (LSU had 11 in conference play).

He's not getting anymore pressure than they got last year. Until they do anything in conference play, I'm not buying it.

A&M has Miles Garett who is probably the best DE in the SEC. I think Key will be as good as Garret by the end of the year. I really like this defense. Godcheaux reminds me of Dorsey and he will only get better.

I know Coach O is a big part of it, but Steele is just more aggressive than Chavis was and that is just as much a factor.
