We are 1-7 against teams ranked in the Top 11 (at kickoff) during the same span (i.e. we lost twice to teams ranked 11 - Florida in 2008 and Penn State in 2010).

Our sole victory against an opponent ranked in the Top 10 at the time of the game was a 26-21 defeat of a grossly overrated Auburn team early in 2008.

We simply have been unable to win games against marquee opponents over the last three years.

This per the schedules and results on LSUSports.net.

You're not going to beat top programs without a QB.....it's pretty simple.

like this matters. plenty lsu fans enjoy beating mcneese by DOUBLE DIGITS and "only" losing to auburn by a TD. stop being so logical and concerned for the direction of the program

and who is responsible for recruiting said QB? and how long does it take to get a serviceable QB? And how long can he ride the RP excuse?

You can't post negative stats like that. In three weeks, we will be 8-2 and all will be right with the world. No problems here at LSU.

Sorry, Med, you're right. I meant 2008. They temporarily dropped to 11 after the Ole Miss loss. Fixed it.

I wonder how many schools have multiple wins over top 10 teams in the last 3 seasons? Also, we are 6-7 against ranked teams in the last 3 seasons.

This.

It is no shock that a team with no consistent QB play has been beaten by the top teams that do.

Arky had a back up QB come in and throw all over auburn and we cant because ours havent been coached, and those damn QBs allowing all those points and rushing yards are killing us lol.... wake up dude LSU problems go way beyond QB, buts its a simple solution to all of it get a coach

the best part is that record should be expected but they will praise it.
