I didn't interpret your post as a pat on the head but a realistic opinion and one which I agree with.You don't have to like us but you damn well better respect us b/c we and Bama are currently the class of the SEC,IMHO.

Well stated. We're about the same age, but I've hated Alabama since the 60's and didn't care about the Ole Miss "rivalry".

An older ole fart here (62). I was at lsu in the glory days of Chollie mac, 69 to 72. Saw the tide and om in tiger stadium twice. I have always felt like both were our bitterest rivals. Welcome and duck. Cant cheer for you after last year but DO respect you.

No one can honestly deny that right now, LSU vs. Bama is the top rivalry in the SEC... Yet alone the FBS.

Good post by the Bama guy. Honestly, it's pretty amazing that Bama might be in a stretch of 3 titles in 4 yrs, and LSU will not go the hell away. It's extremely rare to see that in the same conference; you're talking Ohio State vs Michigan, Oklahoma vs Nebraska.

I'm 32 so I guess I just can't relate to the Ole Miss hate. I've always hated Bama. My Bama hate blossomed after the 1996 beat down and esp after the 1998 debacle. And now that Bama is solely responsible for denying LSU a NC last year and being the only thing keeping us from dominating the SEC my hatred is unbounded.
I do respect them though, although much less do after the mulligan.
