UF dominated most of the game. They also had to play that white kid who was awful most of the game. i guess because finney-smith and some other players were out.

I wouldn't say "dominated" but they kept Miami at arms length till the Hurricanes went on an 18-1 run. Florida started taking crap shots. When your best player is basically a spot up three point shooter, you can get in trouble taking bad shots when the going gets tough.

This is Josh Gray's revenge game for having to play a year in that wasteland. I bet he goes for 35.

one thing I'm worried about with our offense, is we are going to rely to much on our 3 point shooting. We have two great post players, go inside take advantage of our length inside, than kick out and shoot 3s.

On defense I think we should stick to zones and put pressure on teams full court many times. If we play man and don't pressure, teams will score at will on us.

That really was a mess for him. He played well there and was Big 12 All Freshman team, but the whole coach getting fired/suspended for the year stuff was a mess.

Really happy for him that he got to LSU cause it's where he's wanted to be all along. Now he gets to kick their arse.

Here's a good read on the game from Tech's perspective. Brings up Josh Gray...

Jordan Mickey had 6 assists last game, I think they are looking for that already.

Excited to see a sticky on the thread, must be some excitement for some basketball around here!

Mickey also did a great job of passing post to post, which is my favorite thing we do, especially when our opponent is in a zone. one of the best ways to defeat a zone is post to post passing.

It opened at -11 and dropped to -8. I think 8 is reasonable and could go either way, but I think LSU plays well tonight and covers that 8.

I had us -15 saturday. Looked great until we fell asleep in the last 2 minutes. G-Webb was better than expected though, they'll make a run at the so con title.

Yeah, just my opinion, but I thought LSU took too many 3's against GWU. However, in their defense most were good looks. Teams are going to give LSU all the 3 point attempts they want to take. LSU is going to have a big advantage in the post against most teams they play this season. Other than Hornsby (and at times Gray), you'd really like to see LSU hammer teams in the post. Martin/Mickey are just too skilled for this team to settle for 3's. In addition to being good finishers, both can pass inside as well. I'd hate to see LSU lose games (especially on the road) because they just settled for outside shots.

Tim Craft is a really solid coach for GW. He went to Florida '00. I look for him to be one of the new hot names in coaching in a few years.

It will be interesting to see how Josh Gray comes out in this game. I'm a little worried he may try to do too much. I know Tubby Smith wanted Gray to stay with Tech when he was hired on, but Gray was ready for a move.

Gray was teammates with 4 current Tech Red Raiders so he will be familiar with some of them.
