He is the only guy that could have the same or better impact in NO as Frank. Pretty sure he'll get who he wants from the city.

I'll give Les credit where it's due he's nailed the DC and RBs hire.

I stated this in the previous JJ speculation threads....great hire by LSU.

He will be missed in Ruston and did an amazing job with coaching and recruiting.

Most in Ruston know the value he brought to the program. Most in Baton Rouge will soon find out how good he is.

He recruited Dixon. No wonder y'all like JJ so much. That's strong.

He didn't recruit Dixon. Dixon was already at Tech and had already had a record breaking Freshman year before Juluke arrived. Regardless he will do a great job at LSU. Coach Juluke is a great Coach and Recruiter but most importantly a great person. He is the real deal and will be successful wherever he goes. All Tech fans are thankful for the time he spent at Tech. Coach Holtz was very smart to give Coach Juluke his start in college football.

Here's a quote from the "Advocate" before Tech's bowl game this year against Arkansas St. in the New Orleans Bowl. Note how Coach Holtz calls Coach Juluke a "rock star" in New Orleans. If you have to replace Coach Wilson then there is no other person more qualified to do it then Coach Juluke. He is revered in the New Orleans area.

When Jabbar Juluke walks into the stadium for most of Louisiana Tech’s games, he is just another member of the Bulldog’s staff. But it will be much different Saturday.

Juluke’s arrival at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome for Saturday’s R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl will be the return of a very familiar face on Poydras Street.

Louisiana Tech’s running back coach was the head coach at Edna Karr High School for a decade before making the move to Ruston in 2012. And his return to New Orleans, along with Louisiana Tech, on Wednesday showed to the team just how much he was beloved during his time here.

“He’s like a rock star,” Louisiana Tech coach Skip Holtz joked. “He’s been shaking hands with everybody since we made it here.”

Juluke said he’s been very happy to be a member of Holtz’s coaching staff, but it will be good to return to his roots during this week.

“I’m excited. I’m glad to be back home,” he said. “Just being back in New Orleans and hearing the jazz music gave me goose bumps. And getting an opportunity to play at the Superdome again is very exciting."
