Jabbar was a smart and tenacious DB during his Southern University days. A "coach on the field" in the truest sense. Very happy for both he and his family. I wish him much success in this new role.

He was my high school coach and can bring out the best in pretty much anyone. Tough when he needs to be, but can relate to almost any player on a personal level. He is a players coach, but can actually coach as well.
And will undoubtedly grad some high level Nola/La talent.

I know this is a great hire but how good of a recruiter is he actually? Any proof as to how good he is? I know his name and know he's a good coach but never heard him in recruiting circles though I'm probably just misinformed. I know he's big in New Orleans area.

Maybe. He probably knows when a joke is stale as hell.

Off subject.... A little know fact about your GIF. Alphonso Ribeiro, the actor who played Carlton, created the "Carlton dance " based off this "Dancing in the dark" music video and the fact that neither Bruce Springsteen nor Courtney Cox could dance. It's what comes to mind when I see that GIF

Great hire. I have been advocating the hiring of Juluke on this site for three years. I met him several times when he was a high school coach in New Orleans. I told my friends 5 years ago that he would one day have a Frank Wilson type of position with a major college, hopefully LSU.

If he can't coach a lick, being a St Aug grad and coaching at Karr for a long time makes him a Homerun alone on the recruiting side.

No need to state you aren't from LA, your question made it obvious.

After that abysmal November, the football program has rebounded very well since!
