A all-time list without Tommy Casanova would be blasphemy.

I'm old, so he was even before my time. But the REALLY old timers I talk to tell me that I can't really understand how good this guy was on a college football field.

I grew up a couple blocks from TC - used to see him around town a lot on his breaks. Played tennis with him one day as a kid. Remember him and his family as really nice, down to earth folks. And I ain't THAT old.

Glad to see Corey Webster getting his due. He was a beast in college.

Well I know we are talking about BCS era but the 82 secondary was pretty damn good as well.

Cornerbacks James Britt and Eugene Daniel. Safeties Jeffrey Dale and Liffort Hobley. All played and started in the NFL Daniel for 16 years if I remember correctly.

Also Tommy C would definitely be in the Top 4 secondary players if you picked a team to go on the field and could zap them back into their prime.

If I had to pick an actual all time LSU secondary would take Patrick Peterson at one corner. James Britt at the other. Casanova at free safety and Leon Landry at SS. Throw in Mathieu and Claiborne for nickel and dime and your set.

In his day, Tommy Cassanova was also a tremendous DB, but I know everyone can't make the list.
