The two greatest college secondaries ever assembled: 2010 LSU: #5 Peterson, #7 Claiborne, #36 Mathieu and #49 Reid vs. 2001 UM: #1 Reed, #4 Taylor, #23 Buchanan and #28 Rolle

2010 LSU secondary you have to add Brandon Taylor and Ron brooks. Both of which got drafted.

Agreed. It says "of the BCS Era." A all-time list without Tommy Casanova would be blasphemy. Still a fun list to look at.

I'm old, so he was even before my time. But the REALLY old timers I talk to tell me that I can't really understand how good this guy was on a college football field.

One guy told me that, in his opinion, TC would have started over anyone we've head since.

Casanova is the figment of the LSU fan mind. Few saw him play and his lore lives on like mythology in BATON rouge. Likely would have gotten run off the field in the BCS era

You do not know what you are talking about. Every Tiger fan over 55 years old was around when Tommy played.

You are wrong. There have been athletes in various sports who have transcended time and athletic evolution. Tommy Casanova is one of them. A twenty year old Casanova would be starting for LSU today.

Might be one of the most ridiculous statements ever posted on this forum. And, yes, I was fortunate enough to see him play numerous times.
