Looks like they did just like Washington D.C. does and slipped one past us late on a friday when no one was looking.

Moved the motorhomes from the corner of Skip Bertman and river road. Took away a large portion of the Hayfield lot around the Tiger Park and turned it into paid parking. I wonder if this will cut down on people just going out there an taking up space with no intention of going to the game?

I know change is inevitable. But these changes have and will really hurt tailgating. If your going to make it all nearly paid parking that is fine. But let's use the hayfield for a example. It is most all been turned into pay parking. Why not bring this to the season ticket holders and offer them a season pass. One of the problems is people showing and tailgating with no intention of going to the game. I just think that no parking pass should be sold on game to game basis unless they have a ticket in hand.

This really shows the idiocy of the LSU Administration. Right now they're being paid between $30-40/million/year from the SEC Network. They're fat and (should be) happy and yet they're still choking out the goose that laid the golden egg in terms of their parking and tailgating culture. People attended because they enjoyed tailgating and they've ruined it by forcing everyone to park progressively farther and farther out, hiring Nazis to force you to park only in certain areas, and meanwhile don't give a shite that year after year, placed like the old natatorium beside the practice facility never-NEVER-sells out.

They don't understand or see the signs that ESPN is fading and won't be able to support those same payouts forever, and at a certain point, their paying customer in the Stadium will need to be catered to with more than some bullshite about the sound system and a wifi system that actually works in the stands and not only under the Bowl of the SEZ.

Part of that fan experience is being able to park and tailgate without walking a mile to the Stadium. But with all the money pouring in now they could give a shite less. If you aren't a Tiger Den Suite Holder, or buying your season tix in the Stadium Club, they don't even know you exist.

Sad what they've turned one of the best experiences ever into after all this time. Just a huge attempt to monetize a cultural tradition unique to this area and State.

They are building apartments and some retail space where married students and the old Box use to be taking 100s of old parking places.

Construction over the years have taken way more spaces than that.

Season ticket holders should all have parking options with their tickets. I think that's a good idea.

They told me that there are 1600!!! parking spots that will be unavailable this year vs last due to construction projects.

Sounds like a cluster to me, but hey, it's just 6 games this year. Ha.

I went by the new RV lot this weekend, it looks really nice. I just hope a bunch of rain doesn't come in on all that new dirtwork.

Correction....season ticket holders who CONTRIBUTE to TAF/LSU assc.s etc. should have a priority as it relates to parking !

I wish we could get renewable parking passes in the lot we're in. The first year it became a paid lot I was able to get 2 passes for it, and as a group we had 5 or 6. This is the 4th or 5th year that it has been paid, and I'm the only one that was able to get a pass for the lot. It's going to be interesting trying to figure out how to bring out all of the tailgating supplies.

They show public parking by west campus apartments but you can never get in there because BR police have it blocked

That's PR 101. Always bury bad news on a Friday afternoon and hope no one notices.

Good Lord the free parking is really really far away now. Pretty soon they'll have us parking in that empty lot at the corner of River Road and Brightside. People already park there for the biggest games but that's not something LSU sets up.

I've always been a north side of campus parker but that may become more difficult.

I guess the entrepreneurs north of campus will make a killing charging people to park in abandoned lots.

I have a suggestion: if you do not already have a ticket to the game, do NOT come onto the LSU campus on gameday.

That is how it looks. Looks like it will be a game by game pay lot. I know times change and if they want to do this fine not like there is anything we can do about it. But they should at the least offer a season pass in these lots to season ticket holders who are there every week.
