I'm sure most people bitching about these very minor cosmetic changes want LSU and the football program to have the best of everything else: facilities, recruits, and coaches.
These small changes were necessary to put LSU players into the newest and "best" Nike tech, so its a great thing even if the performance difference for the players is only negligible.

The dumbest part of the combat Jerseys is the stomach and armpits always comes out a darker shade. Luckily we almost always wear white.

That really does look like crap. The "medium" colors look the worst. OkSt's grey uniform looks like garbage about mid first quarter because of the way the different materials handle sweat. I'm sure it will be a problem on the purple jerseys to some extent.

Just my opinion: LSU told Nike they could change them and gave very strict orders about how much. Nike definitely couldn't change the design and color scheme so they wanted to cram in whatever Nike flare they could.

Horrible. This and the NFL cut is too tight. The numbers are so small. Looks awful on fat players.

imo the stripes are too long...they should stop at the top of the arm hole....full stripes looked good back when jerseys actually had sleeves....todays skill cuts just look better with half stripes

They didn't change a thing but put the classic LSU uniform onto the newest Nike uniform template. Its the same reason the sleeves were shortened to just on the shoulder in the first place.
Nike did not change a single substantive thing about the uniform and yet people are bitching about it.
When the jerseys are on in game action you can't even see the fly-wire aspect.
