I keep seeing several excuses about why a Coach that wins 8 or more games a season should be fired by saying it is more than 2-3 losses.

Let's go back to August and look at the Season Previews for 2015.

8/20 - College Football Poll - Final Record Prediction 7-4

7/7 - Athlon Sports - Advocare V100 Texas Bowl (vs. Oklahoma St)

5/5 - ESPN Bowl Projection - Citrus Bowl (vs. Wisconsin or Penn State)

6/9 - AP Sports Bowl Projection - Citrus Bowl (vs. Wisconsin)

8/19 - Roll Bama Roll Season Projections - 8-4

9/1 - SI Bowl Projections - Citrus Bowl (vs Nebraska)

SB Nation Bowl Projection - Liberty Bowl (vs. Oklahoma St)

7/10 - B/R Las Vegas Odds Season Projections - 8-4

Saturday Down South did an overall look at the CFB Playoff Projections before the season started - LSU is not anywhere on it!

LSU wins a couple games over no real competition outside of Florida and LF7 dominates until Alabama and all of a sudden, LSU fans think we should have been in the Title game this year.

We have glaring holes on our offensive line and without LF7, LSU might be in worse shape. Yet Les Miles has found a way to get us to 8-3 and the fans want him gone?

Last season was the same thing, the previews and projections did not have us any better off.

Yes the loss to Alabama sucked but they are better than us.

Arkansas slipped up against Toledo and Texas Tech early on so people wrote them off. They were ranked 18 to start the season. They should have beaten A&M and a fake punt that did not work out against Alabama eventually led to that loss, they played great for most of the game. They lose to Miss St by 1.

They beat us and the Fans crumble to their knees because Arkansas sucks, right?

Ole Miss sucks too? They dominated us and were the better team, anyone says different and they are just plain bias.

I am not saying this justifies anything but I think Les Miles deserves to be here even after struggling this season.

How come so many people forget? It would have been great for us to beat Arkansas and Ole Miss but it still would have been much better than anyone saw coming in 2015. Yet somehow Les will never get that credit.

I predict LSU will go 6-6 next year. That way no matter the actual record we get to keep Miles because the losses were expected.

So...because LSU was once again predicted in the preseason to be perfectly average, we should be pleased that the team conformed to those expectations?

The problem then is why can't Les recruit/develop a team with higher ceiling than 9-3?

Get out of here with this garbage. The flaws holding back the team are so obvious. Don't be a dumb arse.

Oh you want to talk about preseason expectations. Since 2007 LSU has finished worse than our preseason ranking 5 out of 7 years.

So defensive...

Does anyone read anything? I am not making an excuse. I am simply trying to get LSU fans off the Alabama mindset that winning 10 or more games and a title each season is the only answer.

Jesus Christ people! LSU was losing 6-7 games every year not long ago.

When will people realize that preseason predictions don't mean shite... They also predicted Auburn to win the SEC.

All that matters is what you do during the season and we started out great and were a legit #2 team in the country with the Heisman front runner. Then we REGRESSED. I can live with losing to Bama. But getting blown out at home vs an Arky team who lost to Toledo (who lost to western Michigan), and then getting embarrassed by Ole Miss in inexcusable.

We were legitimately the #2 team in the country and looked like a team that was getting better and better. And then the wheels completely fell off and we had a brutal collapse.

So we should have made the change before the season.

LSU had never been dominated three straight games during the Les Miles era...I don't think we have ever been dominated two straight games. It is not that we lost, but how we lost. We weren't competitive. It is alarming.

I get that, but at the same time, they also predicted Auburn would be a top 10 team

So are we better than expected or just Auburn worse?

There's a difference between being competitive in every game, showing gradual improvement and efficiency and still losing 2-3 games and getting flat out embarrassed three weeks in a row, two of which opponents have no business ever running us off the field in the manner they did. I'm not sure what's so hard to understand about that.

I will never understand LSU fans who think that our history started with Curley Hallman. There are two websites that rank the NCAA programs all time. We are 8th on one and 9th on the other one. We are 12th all time in Division 1A wins and every school ahead of us except USC has played more games than us.

Exactly! We should be content with mediocrity because 20 years ago we sucked! How dare we strive to improve!

So if pundits predict us to suck, it's ok if we do?
