Spin how you want....I prefer 2007 National Champions. My sig pic must really piss you off.

BTW...Saban hadn't coached any of those players in 3 years and those that were on the '07 team never saw the field under Saban.....so you can take Nicks nuts out of your mouth now....its been 6 years.

I'm so sick of this argument it makes me want to puke.

I'm no Miles apologist, but this argument is retarded...even 3 years later. We have no shortage of talent as Miles has recruited very well. The exception would be QB which is totally on Miles.

Miles' problem has been allowing Crowton to stay on staff and poor development of our players.

Getting those 5-star players isn't the problem. It's what we're doing with them once their here that is the problem.

never had nicks nuts in my mouth chief, but to sit here and think the state of our program is A. Going in the right direction or B. better now than when nick was in charge, is totally insane.

you may need to get your head out of miles' arse, because he is running this program into the ground. Record vs the top 10 the last 3 years, inability to have an offense ranked inside the top 100, clock mis management, inability to get 11 men on the field after a time out, moronic statements to the media.

He is an embarrassment to be making as much money as in is, to be the coach of THIS team, with the amount of stud players we have, should be continuing to get.

Your a fool, maybe one day you'll wake up.

Here's you for the rest of the season.

" Get skull drug by 40 next weekend youll have an excuse for that. Lose to ULM, it was the fans fault for lack of energy in the stadium, Ole miss always plays us tough so no surprise that we lose that one, Arkansas is a solid team and we played them on the road, hard to win road games in conference, bowl game was a bad stylistic match up for us, we played well though, and the team fought hard. 7-6 in a re building year, come on guys, we had a rough schedule! Lets look forward to next year when we are going to New orleans for the MNC in 2011!!!! JJ and Lee will be Studs in their senior years and PP is coming back to lead us to a title!"

So you're saying LSU won't win another game? Seriously?

You are an idiot. The media could give a rat's arse about Less defending LSU.

I recall lots of instances where that was exactly the case. Back when the glorious Threepeat was unfolding for USC, Brent Musberger was making direct statements to Les Miles (including his name in the statement) during... the Cal-Tenn game. Directly referring to Miles quotes and saying 'what do you think now'. Musberger also acted insulted and offended in the booth in the Virginia Tech game when the other guy stated LSU looked like the best team in the country. You'd have thought Brent was gonna cry, or fight. The Threepeat nonsense got plenty of play on ABC and ESPN. Les blatantly refuted them, and then proceeded to win the BCS.
Herbstreit announcing Miles going to Michigan was pretty much given with the sense of "of course he will, why would he stay at LSU?". If you don't find that question- why stay at LSU when you can go to Michigan- insulting, then I dunno; Les sure took umbrage with it.
07 in the pregame there was still conversations BY THE GUYS AT THE DESK about how the Rose (USC beating Illinois) had the true, best team.

Someone asked whether I got the response I sought with this, and yeah- some people do get it. "Support" doesn't mean go rallying around with a cup to contribute to his next raise, or even retain him at the end of the season if that is how strongly you feel we need to change.

"Support" means to see and react to the bullshite from official media wanting to bring Les (AND LSU) down to pump themselves up.

Once again I will trot out Virginia Tech, who (except for 2 seasons under M Vick) has been basically a carbon copy of this LSU team. No offense, often a 2 qb system of errors, good special teams and defense. I DON'T CARE what VT's fans think of Frank Beamer amongst themselves, that's irrelevant. What is relevant is that ESPN has never mocked or ridiculed Beamer for that lack of offense (hey- why haven't there been snide remarks on how Beamer must have snuck into the locker room here? just an example), and were that to happen, the Hokies would be loud and proud in their outrage. Beamer has more time there than both Miles AND Saban, never had the success Miles had with different offenses (you can mention Vick and I can say JaMarcus, but I say Flynn 07 and you have ... nothing), and no BCS title. Watch the next time VT is covered, if any mention of Beamer is made, it's respectful to the man. No open questioning of whether he has a thought process going on. Certainly no mention of the bullshite scheduling he occasionally does (see 2002, LSU season opener), and how other coaches (see 2002, Saban) considered him a prick.

Then consider Oklahoma and Stoops. Surely the guy who lost to Boise St in the Fiesta, whose team dropped last year as hard as we did in 08, but following a loss-not a win- in the BCS game, who opened last season with a loss at home to BYU and has the same record this year as we do, this Stoops guy is a clown too? Sure, losses to Nebraska and Texas are ok nationally (and then why not Bama, Fla, or Auburn last week.. but I digress), but you still have plenty left to attack. No one nationally, even those whining about Boise being ranked so high, tear into Stoops with the relish we see towards Miles. It's right there on his resume, though "well, it's easy to beat Oklahoma as long as Stoops is there. Just throw a Mountain West team on the field and it's done". That would garner a big from the Sooners.

Iowa's Kirk Ferentz is a genius, up there with Saban as wonder-boys. Never a demeaning comment, always marveling at how well-coached his teams are. They don't make mistakes. He's 86-56 at Iowa, 51-39 in conference. Some genius; I guess they looked well-coached in all of those losses.

People, just support the team and program if you consider yourselves LSU fans. Bitch at Les all you like among ourselves, but don't go letting ESPN etc take potshots at our coach when he's 7-1, without taking other, less successful coaches to task too.

The press doesn't belittle Miles because he condemned USC. That's ridiculous. The press mocks Miles because he makes inexcusably stupid time management errors and his teams play undisciplined, error prone football.

Bitch back at them. Get pumped up when we're on TV, and don't pout and boo after the 1st 3 and out. Don't leave nationally televised games against ranked teams en mass in the second half. Wave your LSU shite in the cameras and heckle the commentators like we used to do, and call scoreboard on people who slight our wins.
Hell, they all have blogs- call them out on the coaches they praise every time someone takes a cheap shot at LSU. Write these long, tiresome posts listing the flaws of all the "better coaches", and then ask who Les bent over to get them riled up.

You got a family member who embarrasses you at times- do you jump in with strangers who point fingers and laugh, or do you defend your own? Les is still family for now, until/unless he gets canned. He's OUR goofy bastard until otherwise.

I know where you are coming from and exactly what you are trying to say...so, amongst all these posts that just DON'T SEEM TO GET IT there is one of us out here that does! Sometimes people just need to get out of a posting exactly what it was meant to be...a feel good, power boosting, let's go get'm Tigers Post. No more, no less. I am with you on this one!!!

I think in 2012 you'll get your wish.

Michigan has already begun their traditional mid year slide and they still have Penn State, Wisconsin and Ohio State left to go.

OK, just in case some of you that read this thread don't get it yet, let me tell you what happened at lunch today, and it is a perfect example of what Scoob was trying to impart in his message.
I was at a table behind 4 guys and they started talking about the LSU/Auburn game. I could tell they were LSU fans when they started saying how embarrassed they were when the last play on 4th down, the team did not even look prepared, and then they went into the Ole Miss debacle from last year with time management. To say the least they did not have even ONE kind word to say about Miles or Crowton...HOWEVER, the minute some guy they must have known (I presume no one would be so bold)walked up to their table to chat, and started saying how LSU sucked at that game, and he was sure we would be glad when we had LESS of Miles around....and we were going to get creamed when HIS Tide came rolling in....WELL you would have never believed that they had just finished bashing away at our coaches with the barage they sent his way!! And that is exactly the point....Say what you want to fellow fans....But in the end..we are still LSU Tiger Fans, and NO ONE or NO SCORE should change that in the eyes of outsiders!!

This is a good post, however, it is my opinion the reason the media gets on Les so much is because of the way he answers their questions. I have read and reread some of his respones and for the life of me can't figure out sometimes what he has said. This weeks Sports Illustrated has a small article on Les where he trys to explain what happened with Tennessee. Read it and tell me what he says.
