I'm looking forward to watching the replay almost as much as watching the game, just to watch how his defense works.

You ain't lying man. I've watched the spring game 3 times on YouTube just to look at Arandas defense. Though he didn't look like to be getting fancy with anything in that setting.

Haha I'm dying to watch some LSU football man!! I want to see that defense that I was used to a few years back. Getting turnovers used to be a given for an LSU defense but lately they're few and far between. I'm hoping Arandas defense will change that.

Oh and I think Arden Key will have a year that puts him in the top 10 on draft day :)

we had 34 sacks last year... what am I missing?

O's immediate impact and overall improvement was well-documented.

2015 = 34
2014 = 19
2013 = 27

Wow. I have no clue where they got those numbers from.

At first I though it was during SEC competition, but we had.

2015 = 24 = 3/game
2014 = 11 = 1.375/game
2013 = 15 = 1.875/game

First year under Coach O and we saw a 118% increase in conference sacks from the season before. The team had more sacks in SEC games than OOC games.

I really can't wait any longer... At least we are getting media reports from practice. I can suffice with those for now lol

We probably won't see a ton of movement this season. There's too much to learn about his defense in one offseason so they'll be playing a lot of base coverages and standard blitzes.

You could be right. If so we'd sacrifice some of what Aranda's known for, but reduce the big plays against us due to our mistakes.

I disagree. Moving players will actually benefit the defense. Offensive linemen will get their blocking assignments confused and cause spillage into the backfield.

Actually, we agree on that point. I love the kind of defense Aranda plays. I believe in creating confusion and in "offensive defense". I just think that IN ADDITION to the havoc it will create for the offense we will see more big plays against us in the running game. This will be because our guys, in their attempts to move around and confuse the offense, will confuse their gap responsibility. And when that happens there will be gaping holes.

The key to this is to introduce it slowly. Aranda has never had a defense this talented before. That is true. But how does our defense stack up against Wisconsin's when it comes to learning? Remember that Beckwith couldn't get on the field his sophomore year because he couldn't learn Chavis' system.

These comments are actually pretty old. Nothing original. Nothing since real practice began.
