Don't they realize that this is the very best the LSU football can accomplish, this is the Golden Age of LSU footbal AND Coach Miles is the best LSU coach of all time?

Appreciate Coach Miles for what he has done. However, if you can't see that having an offense that is 85th ranking or worse is keeping us from reaching our goals then you need help.

Miles needs to bring in an offensive coach. Its obvious to the entire nation we need it. Don't know what is holding him back.

At some point fans will step back and look at the final records and realize LSU was pretty good. True.

Bu you know what the weird thing is? It doesn't FEEL like it to so many. The team is not fun to watch. The offense is sloppy and sluggish every year. So even the wins are laborious. LSU has the record of an elite team but during the actually game doesn't often play elite. Watching the golden age of LSU should be fun. We shouldn't have to convince ourselves after every season that our team is stil good. And I don't think it's just a vocal minority on the Rant. It's fans everywhere.

I love that we win so much, that we're so spoiled, that we get to dictate how pretty we should look when we do it.

I know the offense has sucked balls far too often, but trust me, I have a blast for every football game that we play.

how could Ohio State be #1? NC's really need more weight in these arbitrary rankings

When you watched the Towson or Ark game this year, did you really enjoy watching the team? Being drunk and having fun is one thing, but the game itself... Did LSU look elite?

Years of pitiful offense has made the golden years of LSU football unfulfilling. Maybe that's unfair and unreasonable but it sure seems true.

A very good post. We all want to see LSU succeed.
Some people look past wins and losses and see where we can improve. Lets hope Les has a plan to do the same.

No, not really, but I like winning. I'm not gonna hold an ugly win against the team.

This is very disingenuous. What you should be looking at it LSU's performace since Nick Saban started his tenure at Alabama. I bet it will look really bad for Miles.

Since 2008:

Miles has a 77% winning percentage
Saban has a 90% winning percentage

Miles has 15 losses
Saban has 7 losses

Miles averages 3 losses a season
Saban averages 1.4 losses a season

Miles has 0 BCS Bowl victories
Saban has 3 BCS Bowl victories

Miles has a 2-3 Bowl Record
Saban has a 4-1 Bowl Record

Miles has 0 NCs
Saban has 3 NCs

Miles has 1 SEC Championship
Saban has 2 SEC Championships

In 2013

Miles will probably make the chic-fil-a bowl
Saban has a great shot at winning his third consecutive national title

Where are all these discipline problems you speak of. Listening to you one would think the players do as they please an have no guidance at all. I don't understand ur lack of logic.

Ok...that's cool...but unless history is going to repeat itself your stats don't matter.I saw a poster of Matt Flynn holding up the crystal in a local restaurant tonight...and thought "will we ever see this again?" In my opinion not as long as Miles is the HC...he had his best chance in the NC game against Bama...in my opinion that team was the best in LSU history...if even the most die hard Tiger fan can't see that something is wrong..then you're blind.I refuse to turn a blind eye and say everything is ok when it's not, something has to change and it's gonna start with the coaching...when things are going bad on the field instead of Miles getting on top of the situation (like Saban does) he just stands there and stares or puts his hands in the air and ask what happened...it's his damn job to know what happened so he can correct it...call me a " negatiger" or whatever the hell you want...we will NEVER see another NC trophy as long as Miles keeps the caoching philosophy he has now...we are in the SEC dammit..you have got to be agressive in this conference or you're left behind!

Next time, read the entire initial post before you post and label something as "crap" and make yourself look stupid.

I clearly stated "Below the teams are ranked by average AP finish, and I have also listed the other categories by each team. "

I was not ranking the programs based off of my opinion of who is the best over the Miles tenure. The programs were ranked by average AP finish, and then I also listed some other information for reference.

I never said LSU was the second best program of that timeframe. I stated that we have the second best average ap final ranking.

no, he just didn't want to include our national title season in the comparison.

I don't include 2007 because it's an obvious outlier for Saban at Bama. He came into a crumbling program and kicked some of the best players off the team that wouldn't buy into his system. Something Miles did not have to contend with at LSU. Holding 2007 "against" Saban would be like holding Miles' early records at OSU against him.

2007 for Miles was the year of his greatest success and ultimately his great failures: NOT kicking certain players of the team and developing the talent behind those players properly.

And History since 2007 has proven this to be true.
