LSU coach Les Miles brought to tears by commitment from QB Myles Brennan

Pretty odd
And for those who were still in denial about the square peg in the round hole debacle:
quote:
"I just said, 'Coach, I want to go ahead and shake your hand and tell you I'm going to go ahead and commit,'" he said. "At that time, he just started screaming and tears started coming out of his eyes. He gave me a big ol' hug. My parents started tearing up and crying because they didn't know it was coming.
And for those who were still in denial about the square peg in the round hole debacle:

Prior to committing, Brennan had a couple of questions for Miles like most outsiders have probably wondered since hearing about the fit.
How does a QB who has thrown for more than 11,000 yards and 117 touchdowns in two seasons mesh with a program that loves to pound the rock?
"When you look at our stats they're completely different to y'all's," Brennan told Miles. "He said, 'we haven't changed our offense since (Zach) Mettenberger was here, and he's in the NFL. Matt Flynn was here and he's in the NFL. Odell Beckham was here, he's in the NFL. We haven't changed our offense one bit. Everybody thinks we run the ball, but honestly it's because we don't have a quarterback who can do what you do. When we have a Heisman finalist in the backfield and don't have a Heisman finalist at quarterback, well yeah, we're going to hand the ball off to that kid and let him make the plays.'"

Wait so we are only signing one qb? Miles will never learn.

Meanwhile, Miles says how phenomenal our QB and passing game looks in spring ball..

We signed one who will most likely redshirt this past recruiting cycle as well as having Harris and Etling for 2 more seasons.

Sure that this statement by the HBC will do wonders for the kids confidence.

He can just deal with it

If my boss told me I wasn't performing at the level expected of me I wouldn't put my two weeks in. I'd show him what I'm capable of.
This should make Harris work harder, not less.

I swear the rant really worries about Qb feelings, yet any chance they get they will thrash Qb play.

Then when Miles says Qb play hasn't been great, they thrash him for saying what they ve been saying all along......
What gives?
What gives?

Agree. Posters here act as if BH6 doesn't know exactly what the coaches want out of him.

Or
He can use it as motivation, dwi and get better.
But I'm sure this was more about what Miles thinks this kid brings to the table and NOT about BH.

This.
For all Miles's faults (both perceived and actual), he knows what he's doing on the recruiting trail. To parse his words in this context is absurd.

BH isn't a Heisman candidate. is that breaking news to ANYONE?

I Read that article. Pretty sure Miles said that we have a QB that can get it done now, but stated we did not have the QB with that ability prior.

That was an interview with Myles Brennan only and I'm sure he is saying what he interpreted from the conversation with CLM. I HIGHLY doubt Miles said those things verbatim.

We'll see where he winds up. Probably decommit and end up being a gump before it's all said and done.

Miles probably did not intend this to be disclosed.

Why did you only quote half of the sentence?

This makes me fuching sick.
ETA: What exactly can Brennan do that Harris can't?
Also for anyone that wants to quote his stats go look at what Dylan Favre did there. He's a system QB and frankly he doesn't fit what miles wants to do. Same story, new year.
