They decided to go cheap when the hired Miles and it burned them.

I think they would pay top dollar for a coach that is on top of things this time.

Plus Skip wouldn't be around to muck it up. Bertman wanted more of a yes man on the cheap than a big time coach that wanted to run the show.

You do realize that OU is unranked at 6-5 right now.....with a freshman quarterback.

Weird how that works.

LSU has money, facilities, support but so do all of the top 5 or six teams in the SEC. I was blown away looking at facilities at UT and UF. Top notch as we all have. The only thing where I see LSU with a decided difference in facilities is in baseball. Those are better than a lot of minor league teams have but football LSU is at best only on par with other top SEC schools and quite honestly Tiger stadium is below what I see at other places. That place needs some serious upgrading done.

And don't forget that we have one of the top recruiting bases as well.

I dont know why everyone thinks Saban is so great. He embarassed the SEC in the Sugar Bowl last year. And his last year at LSU was a flop. He won in 2003, but Miles has recuited better and has a better record.

LSU has had all of these advantages for years yet it hasn't translated to consistent success until this decade.

The last baseball hire and basketball hired made by LSU seem to have been decent.

I am beginning to think genocide isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Says the Old Myth fan, whom plays in a JuCo stadium with four totally different non-symmetric sections, of which only the new sideline looks any good..the endzone suites look like a cheap Mexican condo in Acapulco..the old sideline and away team bleacher endzones..well..there are better high school stadiums in West Monroe and East Texas.

P.S. Stick around, LSU's Tigestadium fixup under AD Alleva & TAF..may well coincide with the time we bring in our new 3rd consecutive BCS winning HC in the next few years.

Also be sure to make a trip to the renovated PMAC and new Hoops Practice facility, also check back soon for newly added suites at The Box and next phase outfield adjustments.

But sorry to say, BR lacks any maps to Omaha and Atlanta..Tigerfans know those routes in their sleep.

First of all, there is a new athletic director in place. It's pretty obvious that LSU recently hit a home run with their hires in both basketball and baseball.

this ^^

also u have a lot of nerve talking when your idea of a sucessfull season is beating lsu or placing second in the sec west division

Do you actually think Alleva will make the hire. The boosters are the ones that make the decision and tell him what to do.

Obviously you are under the age of 25.

LSU was a sleeping giant(per Bowden & Spurrier..the first narrowly rejected taking the gig in the late seventies via a win at LSU..the latter wanted the job and LSU's idiots in charge back then passed on him)..

LSU's biggest problem in the past was itself, it's typical Louisiana mindset applied to athletics, and while the political situation is trying yet with less success..LSU's facilities are improved, hires aren't made on the cheap, progressive minds hired from the outside run most high positions at LSU,etc..

LSU Athletics, under Emmert, Alleva, etc.. on forward, is anything but typical old Louisiana, despite still some meddlesome good-ole-boy idiots that try have more say than they should.

LSU Athletics 2000 on forward..whole new monster!

Ask your AD, former BR resident Pete Boone..he knows what LSU has.
