Please te me why LSU, a ranked team, fails to score more runs against subpar competition.

PM doesn't give a shite about winning midweek games. Plus we don't play our starters in midweek games.
Plus...it is just baseball man.

Guess you have never played baseball before (at least at any level worth talking about)

In baseball you have have great hits right at someone and the other team can get bloopers, jammed hits, swinging bunts, seeing eye singles, ect.

There are so many variable, intangebles, ect. that lead to a score. Better teams in theory shound have better odds.

Again, remember in the majors, winning 100 games and losing 62 games makes for an elite regular season. Thats not even a .667 winning percentage.

No they don't. All we need is to get to the post season then we'll turn it around. PM and the team don't give a shite about the regular season.

That game didn't matter. PM didn't care about winning it.

Russell Shepard will be undefeated in his career at LSU.
Flynn>J-Roc
We got SCREWED at AU 2006.
Flynn and Mauck = hard workers, students of the game, high football IQ, motors that dont quit
JR = not a very bright football player
USC SUCKS! WE WON THE 03 NC!

We scored 6 runs, it's a pretty average number of runs, then we ran into some pretty good pitching the last few innings. It's very explainable.

Yeah you know bb. Nicholls State is a powerhouse in bb. The don't give a shite about mid week games crap doesn't wash. I am not paying money for a game that they or he could care less about. What about SLU why can't we HIT inferior pitching?

LSU doesn't like to hit the ball during midweek games. Those games don't really count. They like to save their hits for the weekend series when they are going against better pitchers.

Sometimes the always positive, there's nothing to worry about group thinks that a great team is allowed to take games off in the middle of the week. However...

Most of the time when good teams lose mid-week games to inferior opponents it's because their own mid-week pitching is not getting it done. However, this LSU team has failed to put up big numbers in mid week games against other teams mid-week pitching also. Nicholls didn't throw their ace, SLU didn't throw their ace, Harvard was giving up about 15 runs a game and LSU scored 4. Even Grambling and Southern didn't allow LSU to pad their stats. I don't know if it's focus, or just plain poor hitting but it's a great thing that Blake Dean is now hitting because about 6 of the guys in the lineup are not.

And don't forget there are a couple of name calling baseball experts on this board who will also say you are an idiot for not understanding this.

Yeah, that Rugg kid was lights out for SLU. Exploding splitter that kept the LSU hitters of-balance the whole time he was in.

We're getting to that point in the season where we need to start playing better. The big change in the lineup tells me Mainieri is worried about this team.

Only 4 weeks away from postseason. It's time to get going.
