Yeah. If they both stay and we get Newman, then someone would have to get cut. And it wouldn't be Elbert. No way. It would be likelier that Josh Gray leaves for playing time then Elbert leaves.

People tend to forget that this team was completely made up first and second year players. There wasn't a single player on the roster that has played as a tiger for more than 2 years. That extra year of experience and our depth with the new class/ transfers will make a huge difference. 30 wins might be pushing it but I see us hitting the 27 mark.

I think most of us realize that, I just don't think it rationalizes away all of the things that kept us so wildly inconsistent and undisciplined this year. Maybe some, but not all.

26-5 heading into the SEC tournament. Enough for a #4 seed.

I think the lack of leadership is the reason for the late game meltdowns. With there being no veterans on the team there wasn't anybody to take charge. That should be a different story next year with us starting 2-3 players with at least 2 years of experience.

Arkansas went 27-9 this season. I think we can at least do as well as that.

People are making these predictions hoping Mickey and Martin come back. We will be extremely fortunate if just one came back much less both of them. Yes there is some big time talent coming. But that talent will be true freshman. No matter how talented a player is you can't predict how they will adjust to college and the college game. Not to mention that young talent jelling with each other and the veterans who return.

I am not going to bash on Johnny Jones I like the guy and I hope he works out because he is a LSU guy. But you can't ignore the fact that at times the in game moves or lack there of leave something to be desired.

I think that's legit. I don't think you have to be a veteran player to be a leader, but I don't think we had any clear peer leaders. Usually you can tell those by body language and I didn't see any this year.

I think you might see one next year and if I'm reading the tea leaves correctly, he won't be a veteran.

I see Quarterman being that leader next year. He's gotten 1 triple-double, and flirted with another in the biggest game of his career. He also ran out of gas in that game, and I bet he will make sure that never happens again.

Way under 30 wins, I'd be comfortable at being under 27.

I could see that. He was the only one on this year's team that I saw as having the kind of leadership makeup you would want.

But I think the fact that he came in a bit cocky last year and didn't back it up set him back a bit in that regard. I think he proved himself enough this year that if he continues the progress next year he will have earned enough respect to be a good leader.

That's an incredibly dumb question. Of course LSU is going to win more games next year.

I think 30 is a reasonable amount. I say we hit it.

How many years of college experience does it take to learn how to make a free throw?
