I saw this on Rivals this morning. The scrimmage is this Sat the 31st. Does anybody have any additional info on this event? Where is it being held? What time? Is it open to the public?

I live in Shreveport and would love to get a preview of what could be a final 4 team and the beginning of a new era in LSU basketball.

I think I read somewhere that it's a closed scrimmage.

Typically if you scrimmage another D1 school, it's closed to the public and media. Exhibition games against non-D1 schools (like ours against Southwest Baptist) are open.

Damn! I was afraid of that! I know a lot of LSU fans in Shreveport who would love to be there! It doesn't make sense. We could probably pack the place with high school basketball kids and coaches to give the program major exposure in this part of the state.

Why not make the game officially an exibition game? This could gain significant media interest! What a missed opportunity!

I bet they are having it at Centenary's Dome Gymnasium. Somebody should check up there .

Simmons and Blakeney are only going to be here one year. That's going to be one short arse new era

I'm curious as to what type of info we will be given. I highly doubt there will be score given, or individual stats. I feel like this is SOLELY for our players, even though we as fans desperately want to know, it'll be tight lipped.

Our players will be going into the season more prepared than ever before with the Aussie tour and scrimmages like this

Brothers, some stats and the winner usually gets leaked, but its mostly pretty vague. It also depends on what type of scrimmage it is is simulation, situational, controlled, etc

We'll get even less info than we got from the Australia games, at least we had Twitter updates for those. CJJ won't say anything too specific about this scrimmage, much like a practice, and we'll have to wait until the Southwest Baptist exhibition game to really get to see this team.
