Compared to what?
3-6 with no top 50 wins? that's pretty horrible compared to the solid tourney teams. the 2 or 3 who have a similar record have a better overall record, much higher rpi and s.o.s.

Reverse what you said and you'd be correct.
Go look and see for yourself

No one is saying they're not on the bubble. You've been very consistent in saying we're not close to the bubble.
Go look at bubble teams, they all have bad things about them. But what is different about LSU? We actually have some excuses. We are 3-2 in road games since Victor got back.

Dude LSU could be the lone SEC team with a winning road record when it's all said and done
OVERALL ROAD RECORD NOT CONFERENCE

that's just patently false. lsu was in such a hole that even going 11 of 16 has ONLY gotten them to 73 at this point. and the situation has played out pretty much exactly as i said all along. the chances for lsu to pass up the teams from better conferences is dwindling.
You said LSU wouldn't be able to jump into the 60s by the end of the season, yet here we sit at 73.
Do you still not think that is possible? Here's one of your brilliant quotes:
quote:
Winning
ah. like the a&m game. and the fla game. got it. you know, that still doesn't explain how lsu is going to SUPPLANT the 40 or so teams ranked higher right now to get into the 60's. what if they keep on WINNING?
How are we possibly going to get into the 60s? We'd have to move up a whole 4 spots with at least 10 games left
How could we possibly do that with at least 4 games left against the RPI top 30?

#1 I really love this team now and they keep improving every week

He keeps pointing out the only 2 losses we have in conference to 2 teams who play very well at home (see the West Virgina and Iowa State games). They only way to make him happy is to go undefeated like I've said before. Can't recall the last time he actually said something positive
Also both those teams are undefeated at home this year as well

We are a better team now than we were early on, and the early on team hurts us right now. Can you understand that, poindexter. We still need to pull off at least 13-14 wins

t, go to the ncaa rpi site. look down the road record column for top 50 teams. tell me what you see. lsu's record looks horrific compared to basically all of them.

quote:this is the biggest point of confusion. i am not saying lsu is not on the bubble. bracket predictors are the ones saying lsu is not on the bubble. i'm merely relaying the information that you can verify yourself. alt26 just posted the exact same thing i've been saying. it's not just me. the only people who are having a hard time understanding it are the ones who are taking it as a personal insult to johnny jones and the team.
You've been very consistent in saying we're not close to the bubble

quote:true. of course, that would mean lsu would have to win all 4 games left ending at 7-6. how likely is that?
LSU could be the lone SEC team with a winning road record when it's all said and done

You said LSU wouldn't be able to jump into the 60s by the end of the season
did you find out what the word "considered" means?
Posted on 2/4/16 at 5:10 pm to TommyDaTiger
quote:when did i say this? no matter how many times i post what i'm saying, you just insist on misunderstanding it. and it's just not complicated.
He keeps pointing out the only 2 losses we have in conference to 2 teams who play very well at home
quote:i'm unhappy about the same thing that basically EVERYBODY is unhappy about - that lsu is on the brink of not making the tourney with this roster. did you see the quote from assembly call? even non lsu fans can see that the tigers still have a lot of work to do just to be a solid bubble team.
They only way to make him happy is to go undefeated like I've said before
quote:then you're either not paying attention or just dumb
Can't recall the last time he actually said something positive

Well I already quoted one of times you referenced it:
quote:
lsu's rpi has gone from 115 to 106 in the last 3 games. not a good trend. do you have confidence that lsu is going to get that number higher than 70 in 13 games?
And another
quote:
lsu's rpi is mired at 106. tell me the ~40 teams that lsu is going to supplant from that list and how it's going to happen. the cult has been claiming for 2 weeks now that lsu's rpi was going to move up once sec play started. well, it did, barely.
We've now gone from the 169 to 73 since conference play
You've been dead on
quote:
we'll agree to disagree. there's only 13 games left. explain how lsu is going to pass up the 8 teams in front of them on this list.
quote:
explain how lsu is going to improve the rpi ~40 spots in 13 games.
We've moved up 33 since then with 10+ games go. How will we ever get 7 more if we keep winning?
quote:
lsu's rpi has barely budged in about a week. now at 106. what's the problem?
how is lsu going to move up ~40 spots in rpi rank in 13 games?
quote:
ah. like the a&m game. and the fla game. got it. you know, that still doesn't explain how lsu is going to SUPPLANT the 40 or so teams ranked higher right now to get into the 60's. what if they keep on WINNING?
i gave you simple questions and you've only given a blithe answer to one of them, and it was unrealistic based on the way lsu has played all season.
quote:
name the 40 or so teams that lsu will supplant on the rpi ranking and substantiate your answer. those teams are playing good opponents too. you say they play each other but, they also have an rpi head start on lsu. when lsu lost to a&m, lsu's rpi went down 1 spot. those teams, even if they LOSE to good opponents, are going to experience a similar phenomenon in rpi. they aren't going to just sink like a boat anchor making way for the awesome lsu pain train.
If LSU takes care of business, we'll absolutely improve our RPI by a wide margin
you haven't substantiated this at all, the sites i provided disagree and this isn't realistic based on how lsu has played this season.
quote:
i already told you that lsu's rpi has only gone up 9 spots in the last 3 games. the lowest at large rpi bid ever was 67, according to what i found. lsu has a MOUNTAIN to climb and only 13 games to get it done. precedent isn't on lsu's side despite your blithe responses.
quote:
oh so you're agreeing with me. that it's not going to be easy to pass up ~40 teams to get up into the 60's. why did it take you so long? or is it that you don't want to do the work to substantiate your point?
Is that enough?

my point is, lsu isn't on the bubble despite what lunardi says.
Hmmm

It's one thing to say we won't make the tournament, but you're retarded if you think LSU isn't on the bubble.
Posted on 2/4/16 at 7:17 pm to bfniii
Well ask A&M. Right now Vandy looks pretty tough
Posted on 2/4/16 at 7:21 pm to TigerBait1127
Bait the dude talks out of both sides of his mouth and arse. THAT FOUR PLACES. Try to keep up, but I know it's hard to do
Posted on 2/4/16 at 7:22 pm to TommyDaTiger
Yup that Vandy road win looks terrible.
