So we finally have our team at full strength, minus Patterson of course, and all you guys wanna do is complain. Look I know rebounding and defense, especially weak side help D, needs work. I also know we can't seem to make a free throw to save our life, nothing new if you've been following this program for awhile. We need improvement and a lot of it. How do you make that happen, practice and more so game time experience. Rome wasn't built in a day guys.

Fire the coach say the rant, but isn't that what it always says? Just wait till baseball season and if this team has trouble at the plate. Fire Javi right? Am I doing it right? Wait he's gone, oh well fire Manari that's sure to fix it. Johnny is no John Wooden but he bleeds purple and gold and is coaching his dream job/team/school. You win in today's world with johnnys and joes not X's and O's. Yes I know you need to know how to coach hoops and that's why you build a strong STAFF. Also Johnny probably has forgotten more about the game than all of you know.

JJ didn't miss all of Blakeneys and Sampsons 3s. He didn't brick all those free throws and he didn't fail to box out under the glass. Please give him time and I think you will be happy come Feb/Mar. He has improved each year he has been here and we're not even halfway through the season. I'm an alum and want nothing more that a final four WIN, both games to be specific, but a nice run this year would be nice if nothing else. We will make the tournament and win a game this year. BOOK IT

But he has failed to coach defense and our offense is akin to a street ball team at times. Thats on him.

When things go bad firing the coach fixes every problem because the next coach will be perfect and have zero flaws.

As if this somehow translates to wins.

True or False: We will have to at least make it to the SEC championship game to make the tourney.

I've been patiently waiting for a well coached basketball team for 3 years.

Still hasn't happened

If you watched the Gardener-Webb game I'm sure you heard the analyst stating AND then illustrating how LSU is improving on the defensive side of the ball so STOP with the Johnny Jones doesn't coach defense references!!!

Soooo...we are better in one game....this season....and you're ready to give Jones a raise and extension.

Last year was a mirage as well...great!! thanks for the insight.

Whoa, TommyDaTiger, don't be coming in here with logic and common sense. You will offend the "I want it now or I will get my panties in a wad" group.

When a player misses a shot, yes, that's on the player. Players make mistakes.

But when our guys aren't making their 3s and yet continue to launch, it's the coaches job to modify the offense so we get closer looks at the basket. You know, make adjustments based on our players' skill sets.

Free throws is repetition and some teaching of proper technique by the coaching staff.

As for blocking out, that's also coaching. Teach the players fundamentals and then get them to play hard and do it on the court. Motivation and getting max effort and intensity from your team is a coach's job. Dale was a master at this aspect of coaching.

No I'm not JJ, however I think it was a great hire for us. He can recruit and with a GOOD STAFF he will win here. And when he wins, and he will, he will be here for the long run. I really hope it works out like I think because LSU basketball has the potential to be great. When it is everyone will be all abourd the pain train that is FIGHTING TIGER HOOPS.

Not me. JJ can't coach, but nobody can at LSU. We don't need to fire the coach, we need to shut down the fricking program.
