I am hoping so. These are now Johnny's players so hopefully they fit his style more than the previous group(s).

It's impossible to put expectations on this team until we see Gray and Hornsby play.

Understandable. I did see both play in the 2012 season which is why I'm so high on this team being really good. Both of them can take a game over in spurts if needed and both are good defenders and distributors.

Exactly. Both performed very well on the division 1 level in 2012. It's hard to really understand what 33 points per game in JUCO translates to but the 15 at UNCA for Hornsby or the great play in Big12 ball from Gray shows that both of these guys should have high level potential.

These 2 guys Gray and Hornsby along with a big body true center down low in Elbert and Mickey Mouse Block House with Martin, I havent been this excited for a starting 5 in a LONNNNG Time!

I expect Hornsby and Gray will flourish with the guys around them. They have carried teams by themselves but now they have guys to go to.

UMASS, West Virginia, Texas Tech, and UAB are all pretty solid games. Its the Webb-Gardner, Savannah State, McNeese St, and Sam Houston St games that frusterate me.

Still not as bad as Grambling a few years ago. And to make it worse, attendance at these games is so pitiful.

I predict sec champions and elite 8. Fans should expect this team to be top 3 in the sec and make it to the round of 32.

Honestly I think I will sit back and enjoy this season without solid expectations. I am obviously going to be very interested in watching Mickey and Martin develop and mesh with the new guards.

For the team I would think that 10 losses (top 4-5 in SEC) and an NCAA tourney birth is the goal.

Mickey and Martin are pros, spoke with a few of the old guys who played with them this summer and MT5 told me both have improved. Gray and Hornsby are very good, this team will be very good in spurts and should improve as the year goes on. As much talent as anyone in the league. Tourney team for sure. I think they have more talent than the 06 team.
