if carmouche stays healthy he'll be an asset defensively in addition to what he brings to the table as a shooter.

I was waiting for this. While I will agree that Tech beat them a little better I was pretty happy with the performance. Ark Monticello hit some shots I didn't expect them to. Most of their shots were contested. LSU struggled early to get their gameplan moving but settled down later in the second half. I do not think this is an indication that Tech has a better team than LSU.

I imagine defense will be the biggest thing we'll have to work on for the season.

Yea. Even with better defense we will give up more points than we have in the past just due to the amount of possessions this team will have. We took a ton of shots very early in the shot clock. Jones is okay with it. As long as it's a good shot. We aren't waiting for the last 5 seconds of a shot clock, its shoot when you get a decent shot.

The defense has some room for improvement. I think Ark Monticello hit some nice shots, but we were taken off the dribble too much. Hickey has shown the ability to get in front of driving PGs last year so hopefully he will help that. We were able to force a ton of turnovers in the second half with our pressure.
