LSU/bama height and weight comparison

Anyone feel like compiling the heights and weights for the projected starting rosters? My bammer roommate keeps saying we are undersized. Thus far, I've just denied it and said we are faster regardless...
Posted on 10/24/11 at 12:20 pm to LaronLandry30
Go nuts brah. The only spot we're undersized is LB.
Posted on 10/24/11 at 12:20 pm to LaronLandry30
If you kill your roommate, you can't lose the argument.
Posted on 10/24/11 at 12:23 pm to Myshkin
our defense may be a little smaller but they are faster

Dont have the weight comparisons but show your gump roommate this article from the Wall Street Journal on LSU's defense and how they were built for speed... Interesting read and it addresses how we recruited speed over size over the past few years

I agree with this but remember Bama is playing a 3-4 so they need bigger LBs to take on blockers.

Make it look like a suicide so you get all A's in your classes this semester

I think you need to adjust your starters there...
Posted on 10/24/11 at 1:00 pm to LoneMDG
Trent could gash us up the middle if their O-line out-powers us, but the number of TFL and short gains this season attributed to our speed and quickness on the D-line makes me confident that they won't be overmatched.

List the changes. I figure Mingo in front of someone. Who else?

In a two tight end and two wide receiver set, LSU averages 6.28 feet tall and 258.7 pounds. LSU's offensive line averages 6.38 feet tall and 305.6 pounds.
In a two tight end and two wide receiver set, Alabama averages 6.21 feet tall and 259.6 points. Alabama's offensive line averages 6.30 feet and 312.6 pounds, however.
DEFENSE
It's hard to compare a 3-4 and a 4-3 player to player, so I just totaled up all of the numbers.
LSU's defense averages 6.14 feet tall and 269 pounds. The LSU defensive line averages 6.38 feet tall and 269 pounds.
The Alabama offensive line averages 6.30 and 312.6 pounds, the LSU defensive line averages 6.38 and 269.
Alabama's defense averages 6.20 feet tall and 249.5 pounds. The Alabama defensive line averages 6.22 feet tall and 304.6 pounds.
The LSU offensive line averages 6.38 feet tall and 305.6 pounds, the Alabama defensive line averages 6.22 feet tall and 304.6 pounds.
The biggest statistical shocker I saw here was that Alabama's starting eleven on defense outweigh LSU's starting eleven by over twenty pounds.

Going with Starters, at least for the actual game. Is Lonergan back? If so, Herbert for D?
Heh, just go with that guy's post

Also, Russell Shepard is WR #2 at 185 lbs.
