This is better than Phil Steele, totally agree. Big advantage for UT is home field. It's not Tiger stadium but still worth 3 pts. Wish the game was at Jerry World, LSU would be favored by 3 to 7 pts.

Nice Post. I mean no disrespect to LSU; I know they recruit well and have players. I know Texas best and I'll try to stay with that.
The Big 12 does not lend itself to a traditional 4-3; Texas runs a hybrid 3-3-5, Plug the middle, rush the ends, the let the LB's and safety's feed.
Texas is very athletic, with speed all over the field. Texas did not run over the big belly Georgia OL, they ran in front of them and around them all night.
Texas will be physical, especially in the secondary.
Offensively, this is Ehlinger's third year in Tom Herman's offense and he has play makers at every position. Texas OL will be much better this year, more time to pass and fewer designed quarterback runs.
Johnson will get to every high point pass thrown. May not be a 4.4 40 guy, but that's not what is expected of him.
RB Ingram no longer has a high school body. Looking forward to seeing Whittington and Jake Smith out of the backfield going against a LB.
Its gonna be an exciting game.
Welcome to Austin.
Come early, stay late and wear Orange!!!

Sam running the ball is the only chance Texas has.

quote:why would Herman change up his offense by limiting QB runs? That’s literally been the staple of his offense at every stop.

Especially given the fact that y’all are starting a grad transfer from GT on the OL that hasn’t pass blocked since high school.
