Arky has great pitching; so-so hitting. They won 2 of 3 vs Auburn last week but both wins were 1 run games.

We can win a game or all 3. For my part, I wanna see us play well, improve, get our roles sorted out.

Even in our best years we struggle mightily in Fayetteville.

Not a good recipe for a series win on the road against the best staff in the country especially with a team that can't hit very well(lsu)

LSU at Arkansas thoughts…..

This team has a major problem in my opinion right now.

It fights like a girl.

It needs to learn to fight like a man.

SEC series have a way of growing you up like that, so I hold out a good bit of hope.

I honestly don't expect a lot of personnel changes because of who we were playing. I don't know if Jay wants some of these youngsters' first taste of SEC play coming on the road against Hagan Smith. And at this point, I don't know how many changes you could make. The lineup just needs to get better.

On a positive note, Arkansas is one of the worst offensive teams in the SEC. So if our pitchers are on and we can manufacture a couple runs, we should be in every game.

Probably facing the best pitcher in college baseball in game #1 so Arkansas wins it but game #2 and #3 up for grabs.

Concede Nothing!

We fight like hell tonight and scratch out a 1-run win, then win the series tomorrow night. This series kick starts us to start making the clutch plays that define a good season. It all starts now!

I'm not sure what ya'll are so worried about.

Arkansas has the 2nd lowest batting average in the Sec only above Missouri at .279 vs our .293

Slugging % is 11th of 14. We are 8th.

On base % they are 12th. We are 6th.

They are 13th of 14 in runs scored.

They are last place in hits.

And they really haven't played anybody good. They have been on a cupcake schedule. Their toughest game was one game against Oregon State. There two SEC series have been against Missouri and Auburn.

Their ERA is the best in SEC at 2.50, but again they haven't really played anybody good. They have good pitching but that's all I see. Their offense has not been good so far.

I don't care about the ranking number beside their name. I personally think this is a much more even matched series then most of yall are thinking.

Hagen Smith dominated LSU 2x last yr He is better than last yr and we are worse offensively.

Anything can happen but Thursday does not look good for the good guys.

Arkansas is not world beaters offensively either so we have a chance at the series but not sure about tonight

The staff is legit, but we hit better then them.

We have proven we can (somewhat) hit top level pitching. We faced Texas' ace and pieced together some good innings offensively. We were able to scratch a couple of runs against Cag. LSU's pitching staff just needs to live up to the pre-season hype and throw up some zeros.
