Will our play be better? At some point the team will come together and start playing better. Hopefully we see some sparks of that this weekend.

We have too many good hitters not to start hitting much better. Tommy for one, won’t finish SEC play hitting .240. How much better will we be is the question?

My thoughts are at what point do we give Larson a real shot in the OF? By real shot I mean multiple starts in a row. I realize that means sitting someone but the OF has been really inconsistent at the plate.

Hagen Smith dominated LSU 2x last yr

This needs clarification. In our two losses he and Hunter Hollan both pitched. Hollan was the better of the two.

We scored like 5 ERs off Smith in about 8 innings of work. In the SECT game we had 11 hits off the two but only 4 runs to show for it.

2023 LSU-Arky G1 Box Score

Smith is gonna be a challenge no doubt but just clarifying the history.

Hog ace against TBA starting pitcher?Last year tied in the 9th to lose 9 -3 in the 10th. I realise this was LAST YEAR AND TEAMS.
THIS YEAR: Hogs have a BA in the low half of SEC and our Tigers have a BA in the higher half of the SEC.
Breaks wise if our bats can find grass and not be hit on the button AT the D LSU can win this game and take the series with Holman on Friday.
(I have lost count in the last few games how many balls we have smoked AT a defensive player)

Last years team is gone. We have not replaced crews in the outfield. Travinski at DH for beloso is a wash at best. Jared jones is hitting homers but not sure he is better than Trey. Milan can’t hold dugas’s strap. Braswell at short is just ok. Kling and Brady in the outfield is a crap shoot.

On the other hand I believe the pitching will come around. Dare I say it Holman for Skenes may we better than expected. I believe we are trying too many pitchers and may need settle on just a few. Little needs to go. Not sure what is wrong with Ackenhausen and Cam Johnson needs to wait til next year. Just my random thoughts.
