Thanks for the write up as always.

What has me concerned about this one is that USCe hasn't lost a home game all season.

But on that note, they could be past due!

I can't remember the exact home schedule, but I'm pretty sure LSU will be the toughest home game we've had so far. As mentioned in OP, our schedule has been very favorable.

Yea, the schedule hasn't exactly been brutal.

Also, it's crazy how good USCe's SEC schedule compared to everyone else. They get UF, UK, LSU all one time all at home. And TAMU only once even though it was on the road.

Bad matchup for LSU, really.

They should be able to take advantage of our lack of post depth. Also, they rebound it VERY well. Have all season.

Unless we just have a really great shooting game (on the road, not likely), I really just don't see us winning this game. I would say it could be a double-digit loss, but they don't have the offensive firepower to beat us that soundly, I don't think.

Gonna need a big, big game from Simmons if we're going to win this one. I think South Carolina wins and covers the spread.

Shooters and role players typically don't play well on the road. We have to go in with the mindset that we have to get to the rim. We are going to need the Blakeney that is great at scoring around the rim, not the jump shooting Blakeney. Same goes for Hornsby and JPatt. On top of that it is an absolute must that we get Good Tim and Ben and Craig play well.

It's going to be very hard because we have seen consistently throughout the years that SEC refs give the benefit of the doubt to defensive minded basketball teams when they play at home. That alone leaves LSU at a disadvantage.

I feel like we come out and play hard trying to prove a point but SC pulls away at the end. Hope I'm wrong though

Listen: South Carolina is all smoke and mirrors. Frank Martin is the same mediocre psychopath coach he's always been.

Listen: LSU by 7

Have you owned up to your lies not facts about the SEC teams LSU has beaten?

I think you said 7 of 8 of LSU wins were against bottom half of the league. Please link your apology reply. TIA.

Offensively, USCe is not a great scoring team, but they do one thing exceptionally well...attack the basket. They lead the nation in free throw attempts per game. They don't shoot it well once there, but regardless, when you go to the charity stripe 30 times a game, it's a huge advantage.

And if you watch us carefully, that's not an area we excel at stopping. That will be a challenge for us.

Also, while USC certainly ain't a pretty team to watch, they do play with toughness. We have only sporadically shown that inclination. We'll need to bring that to win tomorrow IMHO.

If Blakeney continues his hot streak, we win this one. Statement game.

I really hope I'm wrong, but I think people are underestimating USC around here. Yes, their schedule sucks, but it has given their players confidence. They have some talented players. Dozier and Thornwell were both very very highly recruited and Carrera and Notice have been around since my HS days 12 years ago. Talented players with confidence, no matter the competition, play better.

I'll say this, I woke up today with a better feeling. It's just hard to predict what will happen because it is in the refs' hands. If the refs let them play, we won't be stopped. If they call every touch foul, we are in trouble. They have no depth either, but I view it as like the UF game where they will get the benefit of more "crucial" calls.

true. lsu has loaded up on the bottom half of the conference. BUT, the rest of the schedule will tell the tale.
