This is the sentiment behind 90% of all "negatiger" posts. But the vast majority of "positigers" will never understand. Anything less than blind adoration for this coaching staff, is considered treason.

defense was vast improvement
offense faced a disciplined bunch in wet conditions.
I am pleased with the outcome.
Make no mistake Vandy is a solid ball club and UW is as well.......they will make us proud.

I have seen Vandy plays lots of teams very close in the SEC. We also held back on throwing long balls because of the weather. On a dry field we would have probably won by another touchdown.

Until we see how UW and Vandy perform in the next few games, we won't know how good we are. I see lots of areas to improve, let's see if the coaches step it up. Don't count the Tigers out just yet. We need to recruit better fans. Spoiled is the word.

The offensive play calling seemed way too complicated tonight. Please just call a play and run it. The complexity shuts down the pure talent on the field.

Whoever PM'd me on not updating the game thread, I went there about 5 or 6 times IMMEDIATELY after someone scored or the quarter changed to update it and someone had already beat me to it. The last time I tried to do it was to show the start of the 4th quarter, but it was updated before the quarter even ended. I finally said, forget it and just let you have it.

Side line info was O coaches were asking JJ why he was checking off so much- he needs to have confidence in the play calling- if he is struggling reading the D and Vandy had him confused- then the playbook was shrunk to assist a young QB who is still learning

"if no changes are made", we beat Florida by 2 TDs in '03. "if no changes are made", Arkansas blows us out in '99. "if no changes are made", Georgia Tech runs us out of the Georgia Dome last year.
Second of all, we have no idea what kind of teams we were facing the last two weeks or what kind of gameplan we had for those teams. So there's no way of knowing what our teams would have been able to do against those top 10 teams if we had been facing them instead of Washington or Vandy.
