At noon today if you told me we threw Floyd and Hurd and only gave up 3 runs, I'd have guessed that we won. Great outting by them even with the ump fricking.

Sucks bad but season isn’t over. Hopefully at this time tomorrow we’re ragging on sending UT home and getting ready for our next game.

I have no idea why Morgan is taking a 3 step lead on third with no outs and running on contact on a hard hit grounder to third. Had he been sitting on third base you make their third baseman try to throw all the way across the diamond from the foul ground. He either just holds on to the ball and you end up with the bases loaded and no outs, or he probably air mails a throw trying to get the out at first with the game on the line. In a game this tight, with no outs, you wait for the ball to get through to leave the bag. Whether it's a base hit or a sac fly. It was just incredibly dumb.

I'm still fricking pissed about the horrendous ump though. That 6th inning changed the game completely. Had he called the zone correctly, Floyd probably eases through that 6th inning and LSU isn't worried about baserunning errors in the 8th. Floyd was fricking squeezed to death by the ump. It's horseshite.

SO to encourage a few of you not to kill yourself just yet...........if Ole Piss can go on a hot streak - the 64th team into the tournament - and WIN THE CWS............LSU can get hot starting tomorrow at the plate and win the whole thing as well.

Stop with this dumb take.

If you sit your butt on third base waiting for a ball to get by the infield, and you watch them turn a double play you are stuck on third with 2 outs.
When you break on all ground balls you force them to make a great play at home (we were our by inches) and yet you still had runners on first and second and only one out.

Their starter threw about 100 sliders in a row. I've never seen anything like that. And no one could get a hit. That's the difference in the ball game

We only needed 2 clutch hits tonight maybe. But 2 gets across line, our pitching was not bad at all.
