I have no idea why Morgan is taking a 3 step lead on third with no outs and running on contact on a hard hit grounder to third. Had he been sitting on third base you make their third baseman try to throw all the way across the diamond from the foul ground. He either just holds on to the ball and you end up with the bases loaded and no outs, or he probably air mails a throw trying to get the out at first with the game on the line. In a game this tight, with no outs, you wait for the ball to get through to leave the bag. Whether it's a base hit or a sac fly. It was just incredibly dumb.

Yeah, I can't believe the 3b coach would have sent him given the 3rd baseman's position, that was some stupid arse shite with no outs.

There is always hope so long as we are still alive. We're good enough to do this, but we really have our work cut out for us.

Most importantly, we *have* to figure out a way to cut down on the free passes. The seven walks just killed us.

That's a really tough loss, but it's done now and we have to turn it around tomorrow. Let's do this thing.

Hate this loss for the team, but they certainly had their chance in the 8th to win it.

Crazy odds did not break their way.

I think the thing that pressed me off the most about that play was Belosos approach at the plate. He just kept throwing the bat out there. I don't want to even call it a swing.

I agree - the cringe worthy dumb comments about Tre staying on 3b are off the charts. Dudes, he was already off the bag, and would have been tagged out if he tried to go back to third. Get that in your heads.

The ump was horrible - this is true, That said we had 2 runs on 5 hits. Boyd pitched well enough, LSU didn't hit well enough.

Miracle lucky back hand grab, double pump crap throw into the dirt, one hops right under Tre - YEAH the baseball gods were not on LSU's side this night.

We do not have the pitching. Period. And our bats went ice cold tonight. To actually think we have a chance to win 3 straight. And 2 against wake I need some of what you are smoking

That is the TRUE STORY of this game. Crews on the national stage did nothing but chase curve balls like a high school kid.

If LSU can take the first game, Skenes can pitch the decider.

With the pitching we have left, we will need 8-10 runs to survive Tennessee IMO.

Are we home or road tomorrow? I believe Tenn was the home team in their game today

I’d say it’s a safe assumption with as dominant as Skenes has looked, Dylan has likely played himself out of being the #1 overall pick.

At this point, I wouldn’t be too surprised to see him actually fall to #3 behind Langford.

And as usual, you’d be wrong.

It might not be over tomorrow, but LSU with this pitching staff is not coming back to beat WF 2 straight.
