Man isn't that the truth. I work with a Mormon and have a bunch of people at the company that does the March Madness competition for basketball every year. A few years ago BYU was really good and had beaten Gonzaga the last game of the season - I thing Zaga was #1 and it may have been their only loss. I had kind of kept up with BYU Bball because of the co-worker. I picked them to win either 3 or 4 games in the tournament.

The day before or morning of the tournament the guy walks into my office and says "did you hear"? I'm like "hear what"? He says this guy (their best player) was kicked off the team. I asked him why and he said "he had sex with his girlfriend". I'm sitting there looking at him like he had just ruined my bracket with my mouth open waiting for him to say "AND APPARENTLY SHE DIDN'T WANT TO".

He just stood there and looked back at me. Finally, I said "HE WAS KICKED OFF THE TEAM RIGHT BEFORE THE TOURNAMENT FOR HAVING SEX ???!!!???" The guy gets all righteous and starts telling me the player had signed his honor code and should have lived up to it. I had BYU winning three or four rounds and really wanted to jump up and punch Mister Righteous right in the mouth. Them's some weird damn people sometimes.

Luckily, I had time to change my bracket or it may have turned into a very shitty day for me.

we'll play loose with nothing to lose. If this was a closer line or if we were favored I'd be alot more worried about the mindset of our team

Have you heard anything about how many BYU fans are expected to be at the game? Did BYU sell it's allotment of tickets?

The guy at work had a couple families coming in from Salt Lake assigned/(asked if they could) to stay at his house by his local church. There also seems to be quite a bit of Mormons in the Houston area. The co-worker plays in a basketball league that has quite a few teams, not sure how many, but they are all from different Mormon churches in the Houston area.

I don't know if it will make that much of a difference but a lot of people expect LSU to basically have home field advantage in a game in Houston as long as they aren't playing a bigger Texas program from the immediate area or the Longhorns.

My concern is for our team to stay healthy to return home to play Utah and Wisconsin in back-to-back weeks

Damn, just looked at BYU's schedule. You may lose to LSU because of looking ahead to the Utah game. LSU doesn't mean crap to BYU. Utah is yall's season.

Lol, the line has moved a half a point, IF it opened at 14. Hardly overwhelming money. Honestly, probably not a lot bet yet, practice hasn't even started. Would be a fool to bet this early.

They played garbage teams last year

They beat Mississippi State by more than we did. They also beat Michigan State badly and the Spartans were a year removed from the playoffs.

Your defense might be good but how will your offense score? LSU will find a way to score against mighty BYU and put pressure on your offense to keep up which will cause mistakes for our defense to take advantage of.

You guys will see a totally different LSU team which plays smart on offense, defense and special teams. No way you guys have the talent to hold this team down. Chark, Drake, Moreau, Guice, and this isn't the 3 yards and a cloud of dust offense anymore. BYU will have to use its brain with its braun for 4 quarters. This isn't just a spread offense, it has power concepts with spread concepts. We use tempo or slow things down. BYU has no tape to prepare for this offense so it could get out of hand early. Good luck though

Go back and look at the tape from the bowl game. When we completely shutdown the best QB in the country. I mean you really never know but I think it looks something like 35-14 LSU. 14-7 first half. But we'll see what happens.

Melting? Lol

Not many people are betting at all yet, there is fall camp to come, injuries that could change a lot of things between now and kickoff. I don't even care enough to melt or argue at this point, but I assure you, sharps aren't rushing in yet, in either direction...way too early

Good god dude, what is your problem. If it makes you feel better you are right? Professional bettors are known for making bets in individual before lineups are set and injuries are known. So, you are right, I'm wrong. Better?

Yes Mr negativity...didn't you know, most professional bettors make their living making bets before starting lineups are known.

The comical thing is you act like you know what sharps are doing right now.

You must have a really good life. Negative people are generally successful and fun to be around.
