I would reach out to the LSU TKE's and let them know your story and that you're visiting for the first time ever (just lie if you've been before) and wanted to see if y'all could crash on their couches. I'm not a TKE but most fraternities are welcoming to this

Are you serious? I stay in Los Angeles Hilton for $119/ night; you probably don't travel much.

He may not travel much, but I bet he understands the whole supply/demand thing of a big college game weekend in a place like Baton Rouge.
There are not exactly a ton of hotels and not many big ones at that.

I know the TKEs pretty well. They always have people staying there for game days. If you call ahead I'm sure you'll be fine.

As of now, I was planning:
$200/ticket
$200/night hotel
$200 on food and alcohol

$200 for a ticket. Don't know how comfortable you are with waiting until right before kickoff to buy, but if you buy beforehand, 200 might get you in. Just make sure you duck when you see a plane.

$200 for a hotel. Doubt you will get anything really close now so you might get under $200. I booked right off of College & I-10 about 2 months ago and there were only 4 rooms left for that weekend. I'm paying $220/night. May look across the river in Port Allen.

$200 for food and alcohol. That's doable. Just hit a dollar menu when need be and spend the rest on booze. Won't have to worry about food on gameday, just make friends. Tell them your from out of town and your looking for a good time.

honestly, this number is way too high if you're doing it right.

you should have no trouble staying hammered that weekend if you have any social skills.

I travel extensively. I find cheaper rates California common and in bfe arkansas approaching stupid. Keep it in perspective.

I'd stay across the river. If possible or east of br. Sign up for reward points at hotels and stay free.

I'd wait on tix until closer to the game, especially if, heaven forbid, we have a loss(es,) I think you will have a fine time for a lot less than $600, good luck

Thanks for all the advice guys! @jlovel7 What would be a good way of contacting the chapter there? I didn't see an active Facebook page.

Wait.....you just joined TD and were able to snag Fournette7? Amazing that no one had taken that name since he's been here.

tke is pretty small time nerdy at LSU. However, one of the bigger frats got the axe and all of their pledges switched to TKE. So it could be different.

Umm, if you have 600 per person, and you share a room with 2 others, don't you have 600 a night for hotel? not that youll need it...

The TKEs are a bit less organized. I'm not in a fraternity so I don't know how the whole things work but maybe call the national office and see if they can give you a good phone number? Like maybe for the president or something? Most of my connections are graduated.
