You're CLUELESS! There are no stadiums that compare to the history of Tiger Stadium in terms of noise and crowd frenzy. I have been to every away staduim in the SEC but USC and Arky. None are in the same universe as T.S. You say LSU fans make more of T.S. than is deserved. Again, you show your CLUELESSNESS. T.S. has been glorified by the national media and other fans over the last 50 years, in terms of it's reputation, more than all the other stadiums COMBINED! The 1979 USC crowd was the greatest in SPORTS HISTORY. I was there. What happened the Friday night before the game is something you will never see anywhere else, either. Please, GET A CLUE!!!!

2nd Loudest
'95 game vs Auburn - "The Magic is Back!"

We took them to the wall, and should have won, except for a terrible "phantom call" that gave USC a first down on their final drive.

Fraid not. Biggset LSU myth ever.

I'd have to give the 79 USC game a slight nod over 03 GA.

I wish I could have been there for the USC game from all that I hear about it. My dad was a student at that point though so I am a little late . Having been to more away games than home games because of moving, I have grown to be extremely appreciative of what we have at LSU; gameday atmosphere, tigerband etc, and now I find myself starting school at LSU this fall which is a dream come true. There is no stadium like Death Valley to whoever was knocking it earlier. Now LSU fans may not be perfect, but we still bring the most uniqueness to the games each Saturday. I don't really have a game as of now (I've been to a bunch in the late 90s...and crap games recently), but I hope this season we can bring some of the spirit back from past seasons in Tiger Stadium

Hey Tangerine, your right guard moved before the snap, that's on You Tube also, look it up. The Face Mask would have never taken place because the play was dead before the snap. Refs blew it.

I already know that. Even with that the "phantom face mask" remains the biggest myth 30 years later. USC won anyway.

Agreed. Never seen something like it since.

Auburn 97 was pretty good with the stop their in the North end zone. I thought Dinardo had brought back the Magic.

I was there and I have always said the Charles White was the best RB on a visiting team I have ever watched in Tiger Stadium. But after watching the video what I never thought of was how great a blocker Marcus Allen was. This was truley a great team.....KUDOS to the Trojans!
