From the stand point of being a player in Tiger band pregame for the first time and every time in fact as you take the field the roar of the crowd in the stands hits your body physically like a shove into your chest.

Lots of that has to do with where you were sitting. Some that come to mind. Fla 07, SC 07/12, UT 05(when we went up 21-0). Fla 01 after the National Anthem(first home game after 9/11).

Bama 12 too.

'97 Fla was the consistently loudest game I've ever been to. There was a rumbling din the entire game. There have been louder points in a game, but that got loud quick and stayed loud.

But that '09 UF pregame and when Tebow was backed up inside the 10 were probably the loudest moments I've ever experienced outside of gunfire or jets taking off. It made my teeth vibrate.

It was pretty fricking loud against Auburn in the '90s when they were backed up to the student section. Got so loud that Cox(qb) took the snap and stopped b/c he thought he heard whistles. LSU DE walked back there and suplexed him in the EZ.

'71 Notre Dame has to be in the mix.
The stadium was smaller then but the atmosphere that whole game was electric.
Unlike '79 USC, LSU put an absolute beatdown on the Irish that night.
Check out the SI issue after they game. I read it again a few years ago and it still gives you a chill !!!

Everyone remembers the Auburn games of 1969 and 1988, but another to note was the 1972 night game. Both LSU and Auburn were unbeaten. In fact, Auburn lost no other game that year. LSU didn't lose until the ninth game at Birmingham. In the first half, Bert Jones was unbelievable. The final was 35-7.

From the 70's:
1979 USC
1971 Notre Dame
1970 Ole Miss
1976 Nebraska
1972 Auburn

"Also recall Auburn 72 as a very loud radio game if anyone out there was there!"
My previous post reference this one, was in HS but recall the radio broadcast was the loudest I had heard at the time!
